ROCKWOOL ProRox Wired Mats

Stone wool, when used to insulate against loss of heat in the process industry, can result in huge energy savings. Wired mats, which are lightly bonded stone wool mats, are usually stitched with galvanised wire or stainless steel wire onto a galvanised wire mesh or stainless steel wire mesh. It is a time-tested universal solution able to resist high temperatures when used for applications on pipeworks, boiler walls or furnaces.

High performance insulation for industrial applications

ROCKWOOL ProRox Wired Mat series with its high quality stone wool insulation provides energy efficient and cost effective solutions to protect both the environment and your investment. Made of stone, it is naturally fire-resistant to temperatures above 1000°C and does not contribute to emission of significant quantities of toxic smoke in the event of a fire.

Why choose ROCKWOOL ProRox® Wired Mats?

Highest Energy Savings Features exceptionally low thermal conductivity, and is by far the best performing high thermal insulation mattress available in the Indian market today for this category.

LOWEST THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

CUI of carbon steel is possible under all types of insulation. The insulation type may only be a contributing factor. The insulation characteristics with the most influence on CUI are: Water retention, permeability and wettability of the insulationWater-leachable salt content in insulation, such as chloride, sulphate and acidic materials that may contribute to corrosion

Because CUI is a product of wet metal exposure duration, the insulation system that holds the least amount of water and dries most quickly should result in the least amount of corrosion damage to equipment.*

LOWEST SHOT CONTENT

Highest Thermal Performance Due to the manufacturing technology, ProRox Wired Mats have the lowest in class shot content. Shots in products lower the insulation's thermal performance and add to the weight of insulation.

What does the EN1609 Test Results say?

Stone/ slag wool-1

Stone/ slag wool-2

Test results of ROCKWOOL ProRox Wired Mat shows its water absorption at 0.3kg/m2, making it the lowest in water absorption as compared to other stone/slag wool materials.

ROCKWOOL stone wool has been hydrophobically treated and therefore provides effective protection against water absorption across the entire insulation thickness and gives the lowest in class water absorption than best available in market when tested according to EN1609.

ROCKWOOL ProRox Wired Mats

With a strong focus on developing high-performing solutions for the technical installations, we set the standards in innovative products with high quality service in key applications of insulation for pipeworks, vessels, boilers, storage tanks and columns among others.

How does our ProRox Wired Mats provide better heat loss protection than others in the market? Assuming same pipe diameter (900mm), ambient temperature, wind speed, emissivity, operating temperature (300°C), as well as similar product density and thickness, the results below calculated as per ASTM C680 (Using Steady State Formula), depicts the superiority of ProRox Wired Mat.

Benefits of ROCKWOOL ProRox® Wired MatsProRox Wired Mats with best in class lowest thermal conductivity, utilising state-of-the-art and sustainable manufacturing technology by ROCKWOOL, is one of the best performing insulation materials available.

SustainableIndependent assessments show that ROCKWOOL products are among the most sustainable in the world, leading to an unrivalled combination of environmental savings, energy reduction, sound insulation and fire safety. Positive carbon footprintThe more you consume the less you pollute. Insulation is one of the few products that offer this luxury. In its lifetime ROCKWOOL insulation saves more than 20,000 times the CO2 emitted for the production. Long lastingROCKWOOL insulation is made by melting volcanic rock which is spun into fibres and bonded into slabs, pipe sections or wired mats. Relying on trapped air for its thermal properties, the use of natural / inorganic materials and our unique production process ensures a long lifetime. ROCKWOOL stone wool will give effective protection and ensure an optimal performance for the lifetime of the insulation.

Safe ROCKWOOL stone wool is one of the safest materials in the event of a fire; it is non-combustible and does not contribute to emission of significant quantities of toxic smoke. Stone wool is a safe material to work with as well as to use in our homes and buildings. This has been confirmed by the latest regulations and tests on product safety. Zero ozone depleting potential and zero global warming potentialROCKWOOL products are manufactured using a state of the art production process that does not use, and has never used, harmful gasses such as CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, in fact any blowing agent that has ozone depleting potential or global warming potential. ROCKWOOL products simply use air. EffectiveThe insulation for buildings and technical installations we have installed around the world in this one year will save nearly 4000 million tonnes of CO2 in its lifetime. Investing in the insulation of hot pipes and processes can be extremely profitable, with annual returns on investment reaching 100%.

ROCKWOOL, a proven brand with focus on sustainabilityROCKWOOL stone wool products have been proven in service for over 80 years. They will give effective protection and ensure an optimal performance for the lifetime of the installation.
