One Programme providingFun, Friendship, Adventure & Challenge

Adults are enablers

• It’s based on personal development of young people

• Young people take responsibility for their personal development

• Young people engaged fully in implementing Programme (not passive recipients)

Leadership & Decision-making• All young people will be provided with

leadership opportunities

• All young people are involved in decision-making in their Patrols/Watches

• Adults support young people in providing their own programme, instead of ‘delivering’ programme

Ongoing review helps the Scouts helps to evaluate how things are working out

• The Programme Cycle is Planned by Young People with Adults

• The Programme is implemented through Activities

• Activities are designed to help achieve Learning Objectives in the Personal Journey

• Planning, Activities & Personal Journey all use the Scout Method and relate directly to the SPICES.
