Captain’s meeting & kickoff party for tournament entrants will be held at 8pm-9pm Thursday, August 22 in the President Casino Vegas, Vegas Showbar (Must be 21 or older.) It is mandatory for at least one member of each team entered in the Offshore Division to attend the Captain’s Meeting. Registration desk open in President Casino Noon – 8pm on Thursday. Fishing begins Friday at 12:01am. Scales open 3pm – 7pm on Friday and Saturday and 12 Noon –5pm Sunday. Presentation of awards at 7pm Sunday inside President Casino. (Must be 21 or older)

1) All Individuals and teams must be registered prior to fishing. Deadline for registering is 9pm. Thursday, August 22, 2002

2) Entry packets must be picked up at the registration desk in the President Casino 12Noon - 8p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2002.

3) Captain’s meeting will be held at 8p.m., Thursday, August 22 in the Vegas Vegas Showbar. It is mandatory for at least one member of each team entered in the Offshore Division to attend the Captain’s Meeting. While it is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that all Inshore Division anglers attend the captains meeting. Last minute changes or clarifications may be announced, and it is the individual anglers responsibility to be aware of those announcements at the captains meeting.

4) The tournament will begin at 12:01 a.m., Friday August 23 and end when the scales close at 5pm on Sunday, August 25, 2002. Scales open Friday and Saturday at 3pm and close at 7pm. Scales will open at 12 Noon-5:00pm on Sunday, August 25, 2002. Registered participants waiting in line to weigh fish when scales close will be considered on time. Fish may be held over until the next day.

5) Fish will be kept on display only as long as the fish retains a place on the leader board. Only prize winning fish may be claimed within 30 minutes after the scales close, and proper identification is presented.

6) Teams or individual entrants may only win one prize per category, except, a single angler or team may win the $25,000 state record award, as well as place in a category.

7) Awards ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 25 in the Vegas Vegas Showbar, President Casino, Broadwater Resort. All prizes not claimed at the awards ceremony or within 6 days after the tournament will remain the property of the tournament. Captain of the boat will be given the award or prize. Prizes will not be awarded before the ceremony. Prize money will be paid by check from Clear Channel Communications. Checks should be received by winners within two weeks of the Awards Ceremony. State and Federal regulations will be followed. Headquarters for the tournament will be the President Casino Broadwater Resort.

8) All fish must be entered and weighed at the tournament headquarters by the angler who caught the fish. Fish will be judged by weight on the scales used by the weighmaster. The weighmaster’s decision is final. In the event of equal weights the first fish entered will be declared the winner. No boats are to come together unless an emergency exists.

9) Fish must be in good edible condition and properly iced. Fish must be properly gaffed. Fish which appear to have been harpooned, frozen, mutilated, shot, gill netted or gigged may be refused. The decision of the weighmaster is final.

10) All contestants will, in every aspect, catch any fish offered for prize consideration in a sportsmanlike manner, obeying all rules and regulations of the tournament and complying with the fishing laws of the state of Mississippi and any applicable federal regulations.

11) The Largest New Mississippi State “ALL TACKLE” Record for King Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Red Snapper and YellowfinTuna at the end of the tournament will receive $25,000 each or the associated prize. Only one prize award of $25,000 will be given for the new state “ALL TACKLE” record in each category. A polygraph test may be required forinsurance.

12) Participants enter at their own risk. Neither the tournament or any person or company connected with the tournament shall be held liable for any loss, damage, negligence, harm, or injury to anyone for any reason.

13) Any fish entered in any other fishing event will be disqualified.

14) Anyone found to be in violation of the tournament rules may be disqualified from this and all future tournaments.

15) In case of inclement weather, one day fishing will constitute a complete tournament. Any 8-hour period without small craft warnings will constitute one day.

16) All teams fishing for tuna MUST present completed “DAILY BOAT LOGS”, one for each day of fishing, to the weighmaster before any fish will be considered for points or awards. The tournament committee may also consult these forms for scoring purposes, so accuracy is of utmost importance. All tournaments targeting billfish or tuna must comply with all National Marine Fisheries Service rules.
