Properties of Halar Coating

Halar is the brand name for Ethylene Chloro TriFluoroEthylene having a very smooth surface which helps to reduce the risk of pinholes in the coating while inhibiting buildup and accumulation of particles of the surface. It is a type of plastic that is extremely resistant to high and low temperatures as well as electricity. Halar is typically used in the industrial area to give them protection and make them more durable.

Halar Coating provides outstanding chemical resistance. It is resistant to strong minerals and oxidizing acids, and essentially all organic solvents except hot Amines. It also provides good electrical properties, a broad use temperature range from cryogenic to 300°F (150°C).
