Utopian Propaganda

Work is very important in a utopia, since it creates everything necessary. This poster would be in production while the utopia was just getting on its feet, to convince the people that work is something to be proud of. The hammer and sickle could be any symbol that the utopia has adopted.

Many utopias believe that money is bad, and that it creates greed. As well as convincing people of the evil of money, this poster creates a subtle message that Britain, America, and the Euro Zone are all bad, saying that those are the evil places that have money, and also that the utopia is so much better.

Although most utopias aspire to be self-sufficient, they can’t produce everything. In order to get what they can’t produce, they need to be able to compete. This poster tries to bring about a patriotic pride to do better than any other country.

Some “utopian” governments fear revolt. The best way to prevent a revolution is to limit freedoms. By only letting people do what you tell them to do, you can prevent unfortunate revolutions that had resulted from free thought.
