proof reading
TRANSCRIPT
Type of work: Proof reading CHLT reports
Audience: The Consumer Healthcare Leadership team and wider GSK employees
Strategy: To read, analyse and edit sets of reports each month
Tactics:
To read through the reports and highlight any anomalies in data, spelling mistakes and lack of clear communication To suggest ways as to make the reports more engaging month on month
Objective:
To ensure that the reports are in the best condition possible before they are sent to the CHLT and wider GSK employees
Involvement:
I proofread the reports and feed back to the teams responsible my opinions and edits
Reflection:
I enjoyed proof reading these reports and broadened my knowledge greatly using their insights.
It took me a while to create a mental checklist when reading through the reports to ensure that I wasn’t wasting time reading through the reports slowly but that I also didn’t miss anything important.
When I first started proof reading the reports, I was simply looking for mistakes in regards to grammar, spelling and data anomalies but have released that a more proactive approach works better. Instead of simply critiquing the reports I am offering suggestions as to how the report can be improved.
Evaluation:
From my recommendation, the report layout has been changed to a more user friendly layout i.e. using bullet points for explaining lists and the reports are continuously being improved.
