Promise Updates & Requirements
1 - Nevada Promise Eligibility Requirements - CSN Recipients
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Community Service, Mentor Meeting and Financial Aid Verification deadline is extended from June 1,
2020 to July 01, 2020.
July 1, 2020 Deadline
• After completing the FAFSA and if selected for additional verification, this must be completed on or before July 1, 2020.
- Contact the CSN Financial Aid Office to determine if additional documentation is
needed.
• Complete and submit eight hours of community service. Eight hours of community service
complete between January 1, 2020 and July 1, 2020 must be submitted on or before July 1, 2020.
• Complete and report one mentor meeting in spring 2020.Complete one mentor meeting
between January 1, 2020 and July 1, 2020 and submit the mentor meeting form on or before July 1, 2020.

Roberta Palomo - Coordinator
Roberta is originally from Southern California and has lived in Las Vegas for approximately 15 years. She
joined the College of Southern Nevada team as a Promise Coordinator in 2018. Roberta completed her
undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis, earned a Master in Education from the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has dedicated the last 15 years to creating opportunities for educational access. She also enjoys reading, movies, and spending time with her son and dog.
