Tebis Software and Proleis

Optimize your processes—from order to finished product

Effectively plan and control your manufacturing

Working closely with Proleis, Tebis provides comprehen-sive data management and manufacturing planning and control features so you can perfectly manufacture individual parts—from the proposal to the finished product.

Optimal data management and organization: Manage all CAD/CAM data and keep it up-to-date with the Proleis data management module, which includes version control. You can operate the system intuitively – right in the Tebis GUI of your Tebis workstations. With the supplier-coupling module, you can even integrate your subcontractors into your data management system.

Transparent decision-making in the proposal process: During preplanning, quickly and easily check to see if proposed projects can be processed and required delivery dates met.

Fast and easy fine planning and capacity control: Use the standardized planning templates to define and plan all manufacturing steps of the components. The automatic capacity alignment in the manufacturing control center lets you fully utilize your personnel and machinery to meet delivery deadlines. All resources work with an individual task list with defined priorities.

Transparent and reliable logistics: Identify your compo-nents with bar codes and scanners so you can record storage locations and transport parts as scheduled. All components are delivered on time to the machine and assembly workstation just before the manufacturing starts.

Optimal tool provision: Transparently manage your real machine magazines, tool cabinets and pool magazines. After the net tool requirements are calculated, the system automatically generates assembly orders at the setup station. If a tool’s service life falls below a specific mini-mum, the automatic resupply helps prevent unscheduled downtime due to missing tools.

Process optimization: Document errors and problems, and create reports. Analyze your processes by evaluating and determining key performance indicators. This enables you to recognize problems early on and fully utilize the potential of your manufacturing processes.

“In our infrastructure, we rely on long-term partnerships and high quality. Fast amortization of our investments needs to be ensured by significantly higher productivity. Proleis precisely fits into this pattern: With Proleis, we achieve significantly more throughput, because of optimized manufacturing planning and seamless data management.”Dr. Louis SchneiderManaging Director of Schneider Form GmbH, Dettingen unter Teck, Germany

“Thanks to the order wizard and the planning templates, we can plan an entire vehicle type with just a few clicks of the mouse—it couldn’t be easier.”Frank EberhardtPlanner for tooling and equipment manufacture at Daimler AG, Sindelfingen, Germany

“With Proleis, we manage our project data and plan the entire manufacturing, from design to assembly. The control center keeps our manufacturing planning up-to-date, which delivers significant advantages for us as well as for our customers. We optimally utilize our resources, which enables us to precisely adhere to our production schedules. We also benefit from consistency in commercial and technical data.”Work preparation team Siebenwurst GmbH & Co. KG, Dietfurt, Germany

Proleis: Milled medals show what the system can doTo provide small souvenirs for visiting Tebis customers, we scanned their faces, processed the data, and milled in a multiple setup (16 units) to put their likenesses on medals.

The entire process—scanning, design, NC programming, setup and output—was planned, monitored and con-trolled with Proleis. Our visitors were able to follow the manufacturing progress on displays. We used some images of the medal milling in this brochure to illustrate manufacturing steps.

Proleis: Who is behind this product?Proleis is a manufacturing planning and control system developed by the ID Ingenieursgesellschaft für Daten-technik GmbH located in Germany. ID GmbH special-izes in communication and integration tools for the manufacturing process. As close collaboration partners, Tebis AG and ID GmbH work together to develop professional software solutions for data management and manufacturing planning and control. Tebis has integrated Proleis functionality into its CAD/CAM and Viewer systems. Proleis systems can be customized to meet specific manufacturing requirements.

Proleis: How do I implement it?Tebis Consulting, the manufacturing-related consul-tancy of Tebis AG, works with ID GmbH to carefully analyze your processes and provide support for your decision making. Then, step-by-step, we implement a data management and manufacturing planning and control solution tailored to your processes.
