    Spouses of City of Harare Farm workers.

    The City of Harare and the project members.

    Women dominate the project membership

    Most of the men are employees of City of Harare and areactually the sponsors of the project through their spouses.

    This will operate as an independent group.

    WHAT RESULTS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED?

    Took part in the Agricultural Show displays.

    Displays of project items (protective clothing)were done at the 2010 Long Service AwardCeremony as a marketing strategy to the City ofHarare.

    Samples of uniforms have since been supplied toCity of Harares purchasing department.Approaching the City Council to purchase fromthis group.P

    It is effective. At the 2010 HarareAgricultural Show. Items ranging fromshirts, trousers, childrens dresses,

    aprons and hats attracted 1st Prizes.

    City of Harare has actually indicated theirdesire to purchase uniforms andprotective clothing from the project.

    LESSONS LEARNED

    That the disadvantaged members of the community

    when empowered can grow out of poverty.

    Women family contributions are immense andequally contribute to the countrys fiscas.

    Formal education is not everything people can earna living through using own hands.

    They are self driven.
