Shri. Vijaai Swamiji:

The founder of Sri Bairava foundation, Sri Vijaai Swamiji, was born on

23rd April 1979 and is the eldest son of Thiru. Ponnusami and Tmt

Pappathi who were agriculturist. Swamiji had his education at Navarasam

Matriculation School, Avalpoondurai.

Right from his childhood days, Swamiji was very much drawn towards

Lord Bairava and is said to have obtained divine blessing from the Lord.

He continued his pursuit of spiritually linked astrology and went into

research for close to seven and half years in foot thumb astrology. He

analysed more than 10,000 foot thumb. Today, he is an expert in giving

stunning prediction with remarkable accuracy by merely analysing the

print of main finger on the foot.

Kalabairava

Kalabhairava is the God who is the protector of Benares. He is

supposed to be the fearsome manifestation of Lord Shiva.

The avathar of Lord Bairava took place in "margaseeram" (the month of

February) specifically the day is "kalastami". It is believed that

worshipping Lord Bairava on this particular date, after fasting for 24hrs

the devotees would be blessed with their wishes. Kalabairava’s mount, the

dog, represents the four Vedas.

Worshiping Kala Bairava will protect his devotees from Yama, the God

of Death. It is believed that the entire world is under the commands of

Kala Bairava.

The world being very small, Lord Bairava is seen standing on his two toes,

controlling the entire universe.

Lord Bairava is believed to act with speed to safeguard all his devotees.

Why Aval Poonthurai

Avalpoondurai is a panchayat town in Erode district in the state of Tamil

Nadu. The town is about 15 kms from the district head quarters and 400

kms from the state capital Chennai. Aval Poonthurai regulated market is

the biggest copra sales centre in Erode district.

Located at the crossroads of state highways and village roads, the town is

well connected and has ease of access.

The town is accessible by rail from Erode station (15 kms) and can be

reached by air from Salem (75 kms), Coimbatore ( 86 kms) and Madurai

(179 kms)

Besides this, the town also boasts of many temples including Sri Angala

Amman Temple, Sri Alamelumangai Lakshmi Samedha Dhamodhara

Perumal Temple, Sri Bagampriyal Samedha Pushpavaneswarar Temple,

Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Parsnath Jain Temple, Sri Kamatchi

Amman Temple, Sri Karikaliamman temple.

As a recent development, a tourism landmark - a boat house at the

Avalpoondurai tank spread over 200 acres - being developed at

Avalpoondurai, not far from the city limits, is certain to generate

enthusiasm among the urban population on the lookout for entertainment.

An approach road with saplings on either sides has been laid from the

Erode-Kangeyam Highway to the boat house, which, when complete, is

envisaged to attract people in large numbers.

All these would ensure enhanced footfall to the town and in course of

time develop into a must-see-must-visit place in Tamil Nadu.
