Market load I need to know how much load & where it is being loaded –where it is being unloaded. Overload penalty is tough to estimate
Iron ore Long waiting at weighbridge near the mines. Waste of time in unloading if the load is more
Cement Distribution
Dealers take advantage by sending the distribution vehicle to the end pointSometimes actual buyer is not getting the load
B2B Transportation
Delay in delivery. En-route pilferage
Oil Transport Pilferage , Adulteration & delivery at wrong place
FMCG/ Personal Pilferage

Solution architecture providing
On-board progressive load sensor
Data acquisition
Information to the needy
Load sensing module
Acquisition –filtration
Transmission to central server
1. Continuous Net payload measurement tonotify any Pilferage, esp when vehicle isstopped
2. Progressive net payload measurement toreduce the time taken for loading /unloading & improve productivity esp inB2B transportation
3. Ensure correct loading especially to meetRegulations in Mining sector- Improvesproductivity & saves penalty esp. inMarket load operations
4. To calculate the No of Trips/ Tipping &calculate the total material moved /Payment due.
5. Correct loading Prevention ofaccidents, Improve vehicle life & reducedowntime

Evaluation of various technology options
14
Linear potentiometer
Linear Potentiometer in mounted in-between “Axle” and “Chassis” Basically it measures the change in length (distance between “AXLE” and “CHASSIS”) due to load. The change in length (§L) is directly proportional to the load on the spring. The Linear potentiometer measure the change in resistance due to change in length (§L)inturn into change in load, output in terms of the voltage
15
Pressure measurement
Low bed trailers using hydraulicsuspension or tippers with hydraulictipping systems can use the hydraulicpressure to calculate the payload
Whenever air-suspension is availablethe levelling valve /load sensingvalve can be handy to measure theexact payload
