01.12 Existing doors on door schedule but not on hardware index – 211B, 217B, 218, 219C, 220A, 220B, 308A, 308B, 308C, 308D, 309C, 310C, 310D, 311C. Will these not be receiving any new hardware? If they do, what hardware groups are they associated with

Refer to Note “M” in General Notes on sheet A6.10

01.13 Opening 219A is single 3070 per door schedule and plan. Hardware group 15 includes hardware for paired opening. Please advise correct hardware group for opening

Door 219A is to have hardware group 09.

01.14 Openings 325C, 325D, 325E, 325F, 325G sizes resemble an overhead door. These openings are included in hardware group 15 for hardware upgrade- hardware specified won’t fit the width of these doors. Please advise further direction for hardware and/or door sizes

These doors are hollow metal entry doors with sidelights. The doors are standard 3/0x7/0 pairs.

01.15 Exterior access doors 311J and 385E. Both to be Hollow metal doors and frames? Is there a direction for hardware on these?

311J and 385E are service access panels. Hardware is by the manufacturer.

01.16 Openings 380 and 384 both to receive hollow metal frames?

Those are existing doors and frames. No replacement is anticipated

01.17 Door schedule shows openings 347A, 347B, 347C, 347D to be aluminum door in hollow metal frame. Please advise if this is correct or if change in doors or frame material needs to occur.

Those are to be aluminum storefront frames.

01.18 A1.10 & A4.00: Show a window type “A” & “D”; Sheet A 6.20 Shows Type “A”, “B” & “D”; Elevation (1/A2.11)’s window sizes don’t appear to all match the sizes shown on A6.20.

Window Type “A” on A6.20 has been changed to Window Type “D”.

01.19 A2.11: (4/A2.11) calls for painted plywood to match (E); Legend on same sheet calls for T1-11; Details on A5.11 call for finer cement siding; neither wood or cement seem to show up in any spec section.

Existing siding appears to be “T1-11” plywood siding. New siding to match existing. No fiber-cement siding or trim will be used.

01.20 A1.10: Should the new window in Classroom 21 have a note 2 and also have a window and siding notation on (1/A2.11)?

Window in existing classroom was mislabeled. Label has been removed.

01.21 A4.01: Shows a note 2 below the new windows to replace plywood. Does anything happen above? Note: There doesn’t appear to be anything to show a head, jamb or sill detail; Looking at some details on Sheet A5.11, there appear to possibly be some that could fit. We have similar details.

Site visit is recommended to confirm that removal of existing windows will/will not require removal of siding or trim. Refer to details 5, 6 & 7 on sheet A5.11 for head, jamb & sill conditions.

01.22 General note: There are details that call out the exterior trim to match existing while there is also reference to fiber-cement trim. Please clarify what and where window trim goes.

Trim and siding is to match existing. No fiber-cement will be used on this project.

01.23 None received . APPROVALS: Approvals are based on manufacturers only. Contractors are responsible for bidding on approved equipment equivalent in size and performance to that specified.
