Why project based learning?

• A basic goal of universities of applied sciences is to enable the students to achieve high-level professional knowledge and expertise.

What is a project?

• Idea • Pre-phase• Planning• Implementation• Ending• Exploitation of results• Evaluation

What is project based learning?

Relatively long-term learning process that integrates knowledge from different disciplines. The learning process takes place in small groups organised around meaningful problems, and results in a collaborative learning product.

• Customer orientation• Clear assignment and goal• Establishing a project group and dividing responsibilities• Exact duration of project• Monitoring of project process, reporting and evaluation• Ultimate goal to learn project working skills
