• Cleanup to address impacted soils in
parts of the Shoreline Area • Restoration to follow Cleanup • Performed over two construction
seasons (September 1 - January 31) • Permitting with USACE, Regional
Board, BCDC, and other agencies
• DTSC Work Notice to be distributed before work begins
Shoreline Area Cleanup: Soil Removal
• Planning to begin soil removal in November, pending receipt of permits
• Removal of top two feet of accessible soil (in six
areas)
• Off-site soil disposal, covered trucks using established truck routes
• Clean soil or rock placed where impacted soil is removed
• Air monitoring, dust control and soil management
