Hierarchal Customer Needs
After assessing customer needs, our electric toothbrush design will focus on portability, user friendliness, durability, and functionality. To achieve these goals, our new concept will be collapsible, have an improved rechargeable power supply, and be overall appealing to our customers.
Revised Problem Statement
Researched external sources Found information about: Customer reviews on similar toothbrushes Existing toothbrush patents Other products on the market
Dissected an electric toothbrush to find information on how it performs

Final Design
The on/off button is connected to the circuit Controls the flow of current from the
rechargeable battery. When the circuit is closed (on) the
battery powers the motor Near the head of the toothbrush.
The motor turns a gear, which is connected to a cam gear unit
Then converts the rotary motion of the motor to a spinning/oscillating motion, which is then applied to the head.
How Does it Work?
Overall success Met the needs of the customers Very travel friendly Micro-USB to USB charging port is
vital aspect of our design Optimal performance
Concluding Remarks
Thank you!
