This has reduced the number of malaria cases in our village. Now my son will never go to sleep until he is covered with a mosquito net.” ~ A mother in Zambia

“Before the malaria program started, people only slept under the nets during rainy seasons when mosquitoes are plenty. But now we all sleep under the nets throughout the year…

“In the past before I had my small business, there was a frequent prevalence of malaria in this house. Then I got a loan from the Village Savings and Loan Association. I used the money to start a small business baking donuts and cakes. I bought another mosquito net as soon as I could.“Knowing about the problems of malaria and also being protected [by our nets] made quite a difference. Although we still suffer from malaria sometimes, there is a big difference in our lives. Now the malaria program has come to us and added development to our lives. I feel I can see a good future, as the program of malaria continues.”

- Maria, Chigumukire, Malawi

“Since the malaria project started in 2011, the changes have been quite tremendous and significant. We have had a great reduction of malaria in the under-5 children.

The malaria campaign is doing wonders. It’s like a miracle; so many lives are being saved!”

- Judith Jere, Program Coordinator in Malawi
