Seuss-tastic Reading Challenge (Birth to 5th grade)

Read Across America Day is March 2 in honor

of Dr. Seuss’ birthday! Celebrate during the

month of March by picking up a “Seuss-tastic

Reading Challenge” at the Children’s Desk

beginning March 1!

Must turn in reading record by March 31.

Seuss-tastic Celebration (All ages) Saturday, March 5 ~ 10:30am-Noon Celebrate Dr. Seuss with a storytime at

10:30 am, followed by Seuss-tacular activities,

crafts and snacks! No registration required!

American Girl

Series

(Grades K5-5) Registration is required.

Saturdays 2-3:30pm

February 20, March 12, and April 16

Learn about different American Girls with crafts, games and activities. Dress-up and bring your favorite doll to join the fun. Parents and guardians

are welcome to attend with their child.

Small fry drive-in (Ages 2-5 with adult) Drop-In

Fridays 10:30-11:30 ~ February 12 and April 8

Build a cardboard car* for your child at home. Then

bring it to the library for them to sit in while they watch a movie! *Car is not required.

This 30 minute program introduces short stories, songs and early learning activities to you and your child.

Year-Round Programming

Preschool Pretend and Play - Drop-in (Ages 3-5 with adult)

This 45 minute educational program is a stepping stone to the first days of school. It incorporates books, songs

and other early literacy activities.

Waddlers & Walkers —Drop-in

followed by playtime.

This 30 minute program is full of dancing and singing for fun and exercise.

Sensory Playtime offers children opportunities to explore and develop their five senses by using

hands-on activities to play, create, investigate and explore.

Family Pajama-Rama—Drop-In (Ages 6 & under with adult)

Come in your pajamas (optional) for a

nighttime storytime! We’ll read stories, sing songs and participate in other early

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Graduation (Ages 5 & under with adult)

Drop-in for the families enrolled in the 1,000 Books program

Let’s celebrate the kids who finished 1,000 Books Before

Kindergarten in 2015! Enjoy a storytime followed by a graduation ceremony, snacks and a craft!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten encourages caregivers to read 1,000 books to their child

before they enter kindergarten. Reading together helps develop literacy skills that will

prepare your child for success in school.
