Rhone is a division of Catalina Home. Catalina is a 50-year-old company who has been manufacturing high end floor covering products since the early 70’s. Catalina entered the hardwood flooring market in the mid-90’s.

Rhone was the first company in the United States to distribute floors using authentic French white oak. Competitors use terms like European Oak or Siberian Oak to describe their oak when in fact many of these logs are actually harvested in China. Our product is made with certified, French white oak.

Rhone is on the cutting edge of innovation. We are constantly exploring new ways to make better wood flooring products. Whether it’s a new finish, a wider plank or new technology like Microban®, we are creating value with our products that other companies can’t match.

All medium and dark colors offered by Rhone use Color Depth Technology. Our specialized fuming and carbonizing

process result in “through body color” that penetrates completely through the top veneer. This minimizes unsightly

scratches and allows for simple repairs, unlike a typical surface stained wood floor.

Who Is Rhone?

Rhone offers the widest selection of color and platform options available in the industry. Whether you are looking for a beautiful herringbone pattern or a wide plank floor we have it. We offer widths from 5”all the way up to 14”and 15’ long. At Rhone we know everything starts with colors, for this reason we created our Provence Collection which is offered in over 65 colors and in 8 different platform options. Yes, over 500 options in one product line alone!

Unlimited Options

Through experience we learned that it is very difficult to control specifications, if you can’t control the exposure of your brand. For this reason we created Rhone, the brand is exclusive to the architect and design community. You will not find this brand present in any retail stores or marketed on the internet. The Rhone brand is not a consumer brand, it is for specified projects.

Why Did We Create The Rhone Brand?

When Rhone gets specified and spec comes back to headquarters we know immediately it was created by an architect or designer. From this point we can direct all pricing and product inquiries back to the responsible rep to make sure they manage pricing and all access to the product. Sales reps can now control the project from specification to the install and ensure they collect the commission! In addition, we have tools like our online project registration portal where reps can register projects and protect the spec.

We are one of the few hardwood companies developing and finishing products right here in the USA.

All Rhone products are certified for all required indoor air quality standards. Floorscore, CARB II, NAUF, etc. are covered as well as required fire testing. Also our products are made by a PEFC certified manufacturer.

A 3" nosing offer insufficient surface area to adhere to the step and can come loose over time.

Using different wood, textures and finishes result in a nosing that doesn't match the floor.

On Rhone nosing, the color penetrates through the heavy veneer layer so scratches and wear don't show.

Our 5" wide nosing provides adequate surface area for mounting and distribution of weight.

Our nosing is made from the exact same material as our floors so the texture and color match is the best it can be.

Rhone Hardwood offers the best stair and transition program in the industry. Our custom fabricated nosing and treads are exclusive to Rhone. Since we make these products from the same material as the floor, the match is as good as it gets. No more complaints about trim pieces not matching.
