About SEGIB

At the first Ibero-American Summit Meeting of the Heads of State and Heads of Government (Guadalajara, Mexico, 1991), the Ibero-American Conference was created, formed by the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking states of America and Europe. The celebration of annual meetings has made it possible to progress in the political, financial and cultural co-operation between our nations.

In order to reinforce this process, at the XIII Summit (Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, 2003), the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) was created as a new International Organisation.

The SEGIB is the permanent organ for the institutional and technical support of the Ibero-American Conference and the Ibero-American Summit Meeting of the Heads of State and Heads of Government integrated by the twenty-two Ibero-American countries: nineteen in Latin America and three in the Iberian Peninsula: Spain, Portugal and Andorra.

In line with EY’s commitment to minimize its impact on the environment, this document has been printed on paper with a high recycled content.
