Projeco Italia was recently incorporated in the IQS Worldwide Inspection Company group.

Founded in the 2006 to provide continuity to the experience aquired by its management teamin ICRI Inspection which became GLO (Germanischer Lloyd Italy currently known asDNV-GL) in 2016.From 1990 through 2005, ICRI Inspection was a leader in providing lump sum services,covering both whole and partial projects, to contractors such as Snam Progetti, EnelPower, Tecnimont, Turbotecnica and Technip Italy.

Today, Projeco Italia has added to its experience the IQS Team experience and know-howin the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Oil & Gas and Alternative Energy, in both on-shore andoff-shore fields.

Projeco Italia’s core businessis the total management ofExpediting, Inspection andTesting activities, includingshipment coordination andcontrol. Expediting fromHead Office and at Sup-pliers’ workshops.Due ever more stringenttime constraints, Expedi-ting is now an integral andfundamental part of theprocurement process andrequires dedicated proce-dures and skills. This activity

starts from the moment thepurchaseorder is placed, withthe aim of ensuring thateverything (materials anddocumentation) covered bya P.O. be delivered on time.To do so, both Desk Expe-diting and Expediting.Visitsare combineddependingon P.O. critical level which isusually influenced by theagreed lead time, the type ofmaterial and the supplier re-liability in terms of on-timedelivery. Based on P.O. deve-

lopment, the expediting levelcan be adjusted to preventand/or correct critical situa-tions which could jeopardizethe delivery punctuality. Ingeneral, Expediting activitiescan be modulated according tothe Client’s needs andrequirements. Expeditingdevelops independentlyfrom Inspection and Testingactivities, and is managedby staff selected by ProjecoItalia for their experience in aspecific field.


Inspections & Testing

Projeco Italia witnessesall kinds of inspection andtesting activities, in labora-tories, suppliers’ workshopsand construction sites,whatever the material and typeof equipment(pressure vesselsand heat exchangers, simpleand complex machines, skids,electrical and electronicequipment, instrumentation,piping and bulk materials,etc.).The scope and level of our

activity are usually definedby our Client’s requirementsand are indicated in a Quali-ty Control Plan, duly fulfilledby Projeco Italia in every detailand with the utmostflexibility.Services provided may rangefrom final documentationreview through a wholefollow through of the supplystarting from thePre-inspection meeting, rawmaterial check, production

surveillance, intermediateinspections, final acceptancetest and packing and markingcheck.For critical items clientsoften request that ProjecoItalia appoint a residentinspector at supplier’s premi-ses.


Shipping coordination

Shipping coordination ser-vices include the check of allnecessary documenta- tionprior to shipment (i.e. packinglist verification, check ofshipping documents, checkof material packaging, etc.)and the coordination of thelogisti- cs for productshipment to efficiently meetthe custo- mer’s shippingschedule and satisfy therequested ship-

ping dates. Projeco Italia canalso keep records to providetracking or shipping historyinformation.
