FOUNDER’S PROFILEThemba Mdluli was born in Limpopo (Jane furse). He has been involved in many youth development organizations like love-life and developed a passion to work with young people. That passion lead him to being a founder and C.E.O of a youth empowerment Organization (Ithemba foundation), C.E.O of a marketing/ artist- management and events (MTsquared media house), scholar of the word (bible).
He is a fundraiser of a few NGOs and NPOs, a business consultant and mentor. God-fearing and impacting, he is a born again Motivational speaker who has affected lives around our beautiful mother Earth south Africa (S.A) and a true man of style.
He is currently working on a book titled “The Journey of Life”, sub-titled “when the going gets tough”. The book has thought -provoking topics such as “face your greatest fear” and “why do bad things happen to good people”. It will be launched in the coming year.
He believes life is all about choices: “never settle for less in the mist of abundance”. He also believes a true leader is a model for his followers and as Jesus Christ led, so does Themba Mdluli breaking barriers to help individuals in discovering of destiny, purpose, potential and leadership. His personal motto is “life is all about choices”. “All of us in this life time or this generation, especially here in S.A. we are the true reflection and the result of our choices and decisions we makes today. This leads us to a very sensitive issue saying: you are who you are today or you neither suffers the consequences nor enjoys the fruits you yield in the Past, by the decisions you makes today, you determine you tomorrow.” He often tells people, especially in my motivational sessions, that choices and decisions we make today can make or break us or bring sorrow or joy to our lives or rather cause us to be bitter or better and that unfortunately we all have to live with the results of our decisions.
One of the most challenges young people are faced with is being unemployed or unemployable. This is a painful situation to see young people on daily basis visiting the centre saying we are in need of economic opportunities but don” know where to get assistance. Some of these young people are young people who have 5 years with no job after completing their grade 12 or some with degrees, diplomas but can’t find economic opportunities. Some wants to venture into business but lack relevant skills on how to manage their businesses and create a viable and sustainable entity for themselves.
In it these above reasons mention that keep us motivated to do more as an organisation that strive to assist these young people. We will continue to mobilize relevant resources and human resource that will have a positive impact on our beneficiaries We will also continue to design programmes that respond to the need of beneficiaries from time to time.
We are committed in developing our community to be at a greater level as our theme this year sys “Greater Heights”.. This is a quarterly reflection on what we have done and what we planned to do in the net quarter (July – September 2012)
