Professor Dr. Muhammad Rizal has been invited by the the Govenment of Riau Province, Indonesia to give two public lectures namely (i) Law of Tort and Environmental Management, and (ii) International Law and Environmental Management on 29 March 2019 and 30 March 2019 respectively at the Universitas Islam Riau, Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. Besides that, on 14 November 2018, Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh invited Professor Dr. Mu-hammad Rizal to give a plenary paper on International Governance and Sustainability at ATC-IDC Seminar. He was alo invited by the Universiti Putra Malaysia to deliver three (3) consecutive keynote papers in Seminar Pengu-rusan Kesihatan dan Keselamatan Pekerjaan (OSH) on 22 April 2018; 25 March 2017 and 09 April 2016. He was also being invited as speaker in the (Program of Intellectuality and Social Conscience 2016) at AKEPT, KPT on 05 October 2016, an invited speaker in the (International Seminar of Air Pollution Research and Sustainability 2014) at Universiti Sains Malaysia on 23 June 2014, a plenary paper in (Seminar Serantau Ke 2, Pengurusan Persekitaran 2013) on 06 May 2013 at Universitas Islam Riau, Pekanbaru, Indonesia, a plenary paper in (Seminar Serantau Pengurusan Persekitaran di Malaysia & Indonesia 2012), on 29 April 2012 at Universitas Islam Riau, Pekanbaru, Indonesia, and also an invited paper in (Persidangan Pegawai Pendakwa Alam Sekitar 2012), at Kuala Terengganu on 17 April 2012.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Rizal was invited and referred to by industrial companies, governmental agencies and other universities at both national and international level. At international level, he headed a collaboration pro-ject through Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) (2018) between LESTARI, UKM and Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia on the research project of Sustainability Science and Governance Towards Sustain-able Development Goals (SDGs). Besides that he also headed a collaboration project through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as well as Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) (2017) between LESTARI, UKM and Universi-tas Tadulako (UNTAD), Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Prior to that, he has also headed a collaboration project through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as well as Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) (2015) between LESTARI, UKM and Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. Besides that, he was appointed as the Research Project Leader (2013-2015) by the Govenment of Riau Province, Indonesia on the Sustainability Sci-ence Framework and Environmental Governance in City of Pekanbaru, Riau: Focusing on Criminal and Civil Law.

At national level, Professor Dr. Muhammad Rizal headed an industrial collaboration with the Adroit Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd. for reviewing the relevant environmental laws on the programme of river pollution control and conservation in Cameron Highlands. He was also headed an industrial collaboration with the K-UTECH Sdn Bhd, for reviewing the relevant laws on the management of Occupational Safety and Health in Malaysia. In ad-dition, since he is the key environmental legal expert in Malaysia, where UKM Pakarunding Sdn Bhd, has invited him to give deliberation on legal aspect of E-Waste Barcode Application & Cess Implementation to Department of Environment (DoE) as well as relevant industries. On top of that, he also being invited as a member of a study on revewing the National Higher Education Strategic Plan by the Minister of Higher Education (2013-2014). In 2014, DoE has appointed Professor Dr. Muhammad Rizal as member of reviewing the Environmental Quality Act, 1974. As for 2015, Sarawak Natural Resources and Environment Board, has invited as the key environmen-tal legal expert in Malaysia on Environmental Education in Sarawak. As for November 2015, Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has appointed Professor Dr. Mu-hammad Rizal as the key environmental legal expert on the problem of Haze in South East Asia.
