procedure has been widely adopted and is now called PRELEX an acronym for

Prior to 1995: I was the first surgeon to introduced phakoemulsification for all cataract

patients (i.e. not only selected cases), routine topical anaesthesia, and foldable multifocal

IOLs whilst at Moorfields
