Interdisciplinary vision of education

The Centre Michel Serres provides training for students, from different backgrounds, by making them engage in a joint research project during 6 months, combining interdisciplinary and professional experience with concrete use sponsored by partner companies and institutions.

PÉPITE HESAM Entreprendre helps the students to develop creativity and entrepreneurship spirit. Students with the project to create or take over a company, have the opportunity to obtain the national status of stu-dent-entrepreneur, and to register to the Diplôme Etudiant Entrepreneur (D2E).

The Student Entrepreneur Degree (D2E)

In a fast changing world, HESAM 2030 « Let’s build our skills! » creates and deploys throughout the national territory new degrees offered to all, with a priority given to vocational baccalaureate holders, adaptable to everyone, everywhere and throughout life with a new pedagogical me-thod. This program is funded by the 3rd Future Investment Programme (PIA 3).

With its digital hub, HESAM Université :

Since January 2019, HESAM Université has been defining & implementing PhD studies and awar-ding PhD degrees within the framework of its two graduate schools: «Sciences et Métiers de l’In-génieur» and «Abbé Grégoire».

The Graduate School, which fully adheres to the mission of the PhD programs, has the mission of contributing to the development and implementation of HESAM Université’s policy regarding PhD studies and to coordinate the issuing of the HESAM Université PhD.

1,000 PhD Students for the Territories

By sending PhD students to local councils and non-profit organizations for 3 years, in the entire time of their PhD studies, HESAM Université aims at empowering local au-thorities, while giving PhD candidates the opportunity to do long-term research for a local administration. « 1,000 PhD Students for the Territories » won an award from the French Ministry of Research for the employ-ment of humanities graduates.

Post-Master research in architecture

The Post-Master research in architecture, in cooperation with ENSAPLV, provides an introduction to research, a first long-term experience in a laboratory and a cross scientific background which can be conti-nued with a PhD.

13-Novembre Research Program

13-Novembre is a transdisciplinary and groundbreaking research program on trau-matic memories. Through a long series of interviews over 10 years with 1000 people (victims or witnesses of the Paris bom-bings), it aims to study the mechanisms of memory.

Matrice Memory Program

Matrice Memory Program studies the rela-tionship between individual and collective memory, between the psychic and the so-cial. Its ambition is to produce a technologi-cal platform that mobilizes the joint efforts of 24 partners.

European and international university

HESAM Université is involved in the European and International development of its members, its projects and its own degrees.

HESAM Université supports its institutions indeveloping their international strategy and in improving their worldwide visibility to increase their attractiveness through :

- Community programs: Erasmus +, Horizon Europe, Interreg;- Interactions and exchanges of best practices;- Awareness-raising and support sessions for researchers leading projects;- Leading projects on behalf of its members.

HESAM Université manages the Europe Research network to encourage the international development of research in organising projects of excellence and mobility: ERC, Marie-Sklodowska Curie grants.

HESAM Université also coordinates the response to European and international calls of proposals for the benefit of its members (e.g. International Credit Mobi-lity).

Color Circle

Color Circle is an Interreg Europe project coordinated by HESAM Université. Dedicated to around circular economy projects and innovative cooperation between local authorities and research actors.

It brings together five European regions: • Burgundy Franche Comté (Regional Council), • Centru Region in Romania (Regional Development Agency Centru), • Central Bohemia (Central Bohemian Innovation Centre), • Friesland (Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences),• Granada County (Granada County Council).

Cooperation withUniversity of London

HESAM Université has broadened its international cooperation strategy by signing a partnership agree-ment on 13 June 2019 with the University of London and its Institute in Paris. These federal universities are both composed of bril-liant institutions with reco-gnized academic expertise. The partnership includes student exchanges, colla-borative research projects, and the participation of academics in workshops and conferences.
