1. Remove the machine from its box, raise the handle bar. Swing the brace into position to secure the handlebar. Plug the lead from the bottom of the handle into the socket on the back of the machine.2. The machine is now ready for operation as the batteries are fully charged prior to dispatch.3. The spray system can be adjusted from the forward position to a side mounted position either side of the machine by simply sliding out the nozzle arm and sliding it into the side mount holder.4. The width of the line can be adjusted to your requirements by simply raising, lowering or twisting the spray nozzle.5. If a more intense line definition is required this can be achieved using a higher volume nozzle tip. For more information on Volume Control nozzle tips, please contact your local Supaturf Representative. Your machine is supplied with a nozzle to suit most applications.6. Remove the top tank from the machine and add water to the bottom tank (only add what you think is required) then replace the top tank. Turn the valve on rear of machine to the left and flick switch on handle bar, let machine run until an even spray appears through the nozzle tip. (This will remove air from the lines).

7. Add the appropriate amount of water (to give the desired dilution ratio) into the top tank, thoroughly stir the liquid concentrate and pour the desired amount on top of the water in the top tank and mix well using the stirrer supplied or disconnect the clear tube from the smv and connect it to push in fitting on top of the tank, flick the switch and liquid will self mix whilst you walk out onto the ground. It is essential that you place the lid on the containers to avoid spillage.8. Flick the switch off and return the tube to the smv. Flick the switch again - wait until the colour appears solid. The machine is now ready for marking lines.9. If at any time you wish to stop marking for an extended period of time, simply turn the valve to the left and flick switch to flush water through the pump and nozzle tip. To resume marking again, turn the valve to the right again, flick switch and wait for the colour to appear solid. (Please note that this is intended only for short periods – the full cleaning procedure must be followed if machine is to be inactive for longer periods).

Preparation for Use

1. Walk at a reasonable walking pace when line marking.2. Once the ground has been marked out, allow the line to dry – the longer, the whiter and brighter.3. For circle marking, use the circle marker attachment that is available (as an optional extra) for the perfect circle or simply lift the back or front wheels to mark the circle.4. Avoid airlocks by not running the pump dry.5. At the end of the line marking, it is essential to thoroughly clean out the machine. It is a good idea to use the remaining liquid over the previously marked lines rather than storing it. The liquid has a preservative in it, but once diluted the storage life is greatly reduced.6. Cleaning is a simple process of turning the valve to the left and running the machine to flush the pump and nozzle while removing the top tank and filter to give then a thorough clean. Replace these and add a little clean water into the top tank, turn valve to the right and give the machine another flush to remove what may be in the hoses. Disconnect the snap fitting before storing.

7. The line marking liquid is supplied in a recyclable container, simply rinse it out, remove the metal handle and place into your recycling bin.8. It is essential at this stage to connect the machine for battery recharging. This is done by simply plugging the charger in at the rear of the machine and into a standard 240-volt power outlet and leaving it there. (See Battery Charging).

Supaturf has a range of liquids available, our sales teams can help you select a product to give you what you require in the most cost effective manner .

Line Marking

Supaturf has developed this machine and its range of line marking concentrates as a complete package. These products are technologically advanced liquid concentrates developed to give optimum performance. The liquid mixes instantly with water at flexible dilution ratios (up to 1:8) to suit ground conditions and line requirements. It is recommended that an initial marking should be carried out at a dilution ration of 1:4.Supaturf liquid concentrates produce long lasting, durable and rain resistant bright lines, for normal marking conditions, others are designed for easy removal a short time after application where a change of code or sport is a requirement. Again talk to our sales people to achieve the best results.A standard Rugby ground should take approximately 16-18 litres, AFL Ground 12-16 litres and Soccer Ground 10-12 litres of liquid mix to mark out.Standard Colours Available:White, Black, Red, Red Sienna, Blue, Yellow and Green .Custom colours are available on request .

Marking Liquids

Due to the quality of the Supaturf product range, cleaning the machine is now faster and easier. The lack of resins and oxides present in the marking compounds ensures a quicker more thorough clean each time.On no account should liquid be left in the system after use .Short periods of inactivity are fine (if unsure of time stopped use the quick flush system) but make sure the machine is thoroughly cleaned after marking is finished.Clean the machine as stated in (line marking), leave water in the lines as this will avoid air locks, but disconnect the snap fitting.Clean the nozzle by scrubbing with the toothbrush provided andcontinuing to flush with clean water. DO NOT use wire or a pin to cleanthe hole of the nozzle tip as it will cause damage and a subsequentincrease in liquid output. Unscrew the filter bowl, remove filter screen andrinse/clean both thoroughly. You may use the toothbrush to assist withcleaning, be careful not to lose the filter seal (rubber ring). The machine is now ready to be charged.

A charger has been included with your machine and should be used as often as possible during regular use. This will help the batteries last longer.1. Plug the charger into a power point.2. Attach the plug from charger into socket at rear of machine. A red light indicates charging and a green light indicates that the battery is fully charged.3. Recharge will automatically cut out when batteries are fully charged and cut back in when batteries lose voltage. When machine is not in use, the charger can be left on at all times. The lights on the back of the machine indicate the amount of charge in the batteries.Batteries are fully charged when:1. All red and green lights are lit up when switch is activated.2. The light to the left is on and green when connected to the charger and batteries are charged. Re-Charging is required when both green lights are no longer showing and the orange light is becoming dull.

Little maintenance is required due to the high quality of the liquids and user friendly nature of the machine. Regular maintenance will ensure reliability and should include;1. Remove the nozzle tip and rubber seal from spray management valve and store in clean water between markings.2. Attach battery charger after each marking – See Battery Charging.3. Wash down machine and dry with a cloth.

1. Make sure the snap fitting is disconnected.2. Disconnect battery charger and remove power lead from rear of machine.3. Fold the handle forward.4. Your line marker weighs 28kg when empty.Observe OH&S procedures when lifting machine .
