PROGRAMS OVERVIEW

CourseA course can be a mix of presentations, case reviews, instrumentation, treatment therapies, surgical techniques and endovascular techniques with the addition of a hands on lab. Courses are typically led by three to ten HCP Consultants with experience to meet your education needs. HCPs are able to share knowledge with peers and faculty. Courses may be located at one of our locations or at another training facility.

SymposiumA panel of experts who discuss their experiences on a particular topic before a group of HCPs, to include: faculty, fellows and residents. The symposium is meant to be interactive with the panel answering attendees’ questions on solving challenges.

PEAK: Platform for Education And Knowledge PEAK Events allow the HCPs to engage in lively discussion and debate with other HCP experts through an informal setting close to home. The HCP faculty provides lectures and/or case reviews on current clinical issues relating to the effective use of the DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson’s products. Faculty could be present at the dinner or participating via real-time video conferencing.

SMART Lab (Small, Market Appropriate, inteRactive, Training) These technique intensive programs are focused on the practicing HCP. SMART Labs may be particularly effective for experienced surgeons using a competitive system who have an interest in changing their operative protocol to DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson’s products or for experienced health care workers who provide the day-to-day patient care.

Worldwide Customer Visit (WWCV)A WWCV is designed to provide HCP’s with an opportunity to visit DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson campuses and meet the professionals who bring passion and commitment to our products, procedures and solutions. A customized agenda typically consists of education through product discussions, R&D and manufacturing facility tours, and a hands-on lab.

OR VisitationDesigned to provide the opportunity to meet experienced surgeons in either a one-on-one setting or in a small group. Participants observe live surgery and discuss surgical technique, indications and clinical results.

Resident EducationDePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson provides learning opportunities for Junior & Senior Residents and Fellows through a variety of national, regional and online programs focused in the areas of orthopaedics and neurosurgery.

Education for Allied HealthDePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson provides accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities for allied professionals through national, regional and online programs. These educational programs focus on pre and post-operative care, anatomy, biomechanics and surgical solutions.

Surgeon to Surgeon Consultation (Spine Only)A Surgeon-to-Surgeon Consultation allows surgeons an opportunity to review challenging on-label cases and current technique and treatment options in an informal setting. This consultation may include an on-label X-Ray review to discuss the safe and effective treatment options for a patient while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. All cases must be pre-submitted for regulatory review prior to discussion.

Health Care Providers (Spine Only)The Emerging Care Provider is a healthcare provider who is managing patients throughout entire care cycle from clinic to post-operative care follow-up. Emerging Healthcare Providers are becoming more important to patient care than ever before. The goal of DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson and Ethicon Emerging Care Provider events is to provide education to enable these practitioners to practice at the height of their license. Emerging Care Providers are licensed as: Physicians Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and others as deemed appropriate by the practice of each hospital.

This program is designed for orthopaedic surgeons, senior administrators and operational leaders, interested in advancing their collective knowledge on the many factors that impact the triple aim, including ways to improve clinical outcomes, increase patient satisfaction and reduce costs in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The Institute houses a sub-dividable auditorium, with seating for over 200; an additional six classrooms with seating for 25–60; and laboratory space to accommodate up to 19 stations for hands-on training. Palm Beach Gardens, FloridaDePuy Synthes Institute welcomes guests to its newly constructed medical education facility in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Over 20 years of experience and hundreds of courses have gone into the design of the anatomy laboratory of more than 2,700 square feet combined with lecture facilities and state of the art equipment to provide a world class educational forum. The facility is able to accommodate a multitude of surgical disciplines and applications by offering several types of hands-on instructional courses for surgeons and operating room personnel.

West Chester, PensylvaniaThe DePuy Synthes Institute in West Chester, PA is located at our DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson headquarters for our DePuy Synthes Biomaterials, DePuy Synthes CMF, and DePuy Synthes Trauma businesses. This location offers a 2,765 square foot lab accommodating up to 4 c-arms. Lecture space and on-site catering can be reserved in conjunction with hands-on programs.

Warsaw, IndianaWarsaw, IN is the worldwide headquarters to our Joint Reconstruction business and the birthplace of Orthopaedics. When visiting Warsaw, guests gain insight into the devotion of our people who bring the quality of our products to life. Our campus includes the ability to connect with people around the world with our state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.
