Professional Collaborative Inquiry Learning Cycle Planner
Step 1) Find our focus:
Our learning should be based on a need of the students we work with. For example, if our students have trouble constructing answers with supporting evidence that is their Student
Learning Need. A Student Learning Need is also a Teacher Learning Need; the teachers would need to collaborate together and inquire about how to become better at teaching students to become more proficient at constructing answers with supporting evidence.
To start, reflect upon the Student Learning Needs facing you. Base your reflection upon previous experience teaching this course, upon previous experience teaching students
at this level, upon your class profile to date (student interest surveys, student learning styles and preferences, and diagnostic information), and upon data collected from students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
Think about the students you recognize as being most at risk in your course so far; what challenges do they face/present?
