“By 2015 Australia’s science industry will be cohesive, export oriented and recognised world-wide for its quality, innovation and commercialisation of leading-edge technologies.”
To fulfil this vision the industry will be: Commercialising a much greater proportion of Australia’s R&D;
Exporting more than A$3 billion per year;
Generating revenues of more than A$5 billion per year;
Growing by an annual average of over 10 per cent;
and:
Attracting and retaining world-class scientists, engineers and commercialisers of laboratory technology and services.

Health is of fundamental importance for the population of all nations and it is related inter alia to life style and cleanness of the living environment. The high social demand for health conservation and healing can be achieved by the supply of optimal and individual medical care, support of preventive measure, reduction of sanitary costs, reduction of durations of hospital stays, increase of ambulant medical interventions with low traumatism and extensive diagnostics close to the patient.
The anticipatory effective health care is based on the detection of symptoms of diseases as early as possible when the anticipatory cure and elimination of the disease is still easy. Such an anticipatory health care, based on avoiding high treatment costs through preventive actions, is cheapest for individuals and for society as a whole, and in such anticipatory health care inspections and tests based on anticipatory detection instruments play a critical role.
The anticipate and cure principle fits not only in health care but also in many other areas like inspection tests of foodstuffs, potential environmental impacts, and different safety related issues.
