ATV SPORTS PTO

This coming April Yamaha will introduce aversion of its four-wheeled all terrain vehi-cle (ATV), the Moto-4, with rear power takeoff (PTO). The new IT'fedelwill be called theTerra-Pro. The first-attachments for the unitinclude two rotary mowers and two spray-ers. The company plans to develop a fullline of PTO-driven attachments in the future.

The 16 hp ATV will produce 10 PTO hpat 2,000 rpm and utilize a standard one-inchdrive. The rear-mounted mowers include a48-inch fine-cutting rotary and a 42-inchrough-cut rotary. The spray units will comein 50 gallon and 100 gallon tank sizes. Achoice of hand-held nozzles or 15- to 24-foot booms will be available for either sizetank. Yamaha already offers a choice of trail-ers for its four-wheel ATVs.

Reducing the pressure on drip and low-volume sprinkler systems has been simpli-fied by Buckner's 20120 series of pressure-regulating bronze valves. Eliminating theneed for a separate pressure regulator, thesevalves can be set to control outlet pressuresbetween ten to 100 psi with flow rates as

low as one gpm. They will maintain pres-sure settings even with changes in flow.

The unique valve has no side-mountedexternal regulators. All porting and regu-lation takes place within the bronze cast-ing that fits on top of the valve.
