Bringing colour to the beautiful game

Our title sponsorship began in September 2006 and since then the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has given sides from the Football League the chance to experience the highs and lows of a classic knock-out tournament.

As a result, fans from across the country now have over six seasons’ worth of colourful memories from the beautiful game.

The tournament features all 48 clubs from League One and League Two and is split into northern and southern regional sections – creating a pot full of spine-tingling derbies.

To simplify the specifi cation process and reduce the uncertainty surrounding paint for redecoration over existing paint coatings, Johnstone’s offers two Flame Retardant Systems.

The Flame Retardant Top Coats including Durable Matt and Acrylic Eggshell are to be applied as a minimum of a two coat system and are designed to inhibit the spread of fl ame. Both products are ideal for application onto new unpainted surfaces but also for painting over sound existing coatings with up to 10x like for like paint layers maintaining a surface at Class 1 or Class 0.

The Intumescent Upgrade System is one of only a few complete solutions on the market today, which has been specifi cally formulated and fully tested in accordance with BS476 Parts 6&7. The 4 coat system provides the capability of upgrading the worst case Class 4 substrate to the highest specifi cation for surface spread of fl ame and fi re propagation Class 0, providing that the existing substrate is sound for redecoration.
