TITLE: Change of Production Location for 3mm and TELUX
Devices The 3mm and TELUX device production is moving out of the current production in NIDEC-Copal to a subcontractor in Bangkok, who has well
established production lines for 3mm and TELUX package for many years. The lines are certified according ISO9001, TS16949 and ISO14001.The devices are using Subcon’s package and are qualified on Subcon side according to Vishay’s high quality standards.Using Subcon’s package, there will be changes in material and dimensions- Epoxy will change and will be halogen free- Lead frame will remain in material, but slightly change in dimensions as described in the attachments. (Dimensional Changes) The currently used chips inside the affected devices do not change except AlInGaP for visible is standardized to 8mil chip size, down from 9mil. Affected device types are TLHA4*, TLHE4*, TLHF4*, TLHK4*Accordingly, there will be no change in data sheet limits with regards to optical and electrical characteristics.TSAL4400, and sub-type TSAL4403 will undergo a chip replacement: The currently used 940nm T260V chip will be replaced by the 940nm TB9411VA chip. While the new chip will provide ~25% higher radiant intensity and faster switching times, the datasheet limits for radiant intensity of the sub-type TSAL4403 will be adjusted accordingly. The limits of basic type TSAL4400 will be maintained and will have no changes. Affected customers for these devices will receive a separate detailed presentation.
