Why should you choose PROVolitans?We have specialized in biotope lighting. When you choose to work with us, you can kiss goodbye to light-related issues. Our products are suitable to harsh environments, they are reliable and produce natural, high quality light. All luminaires have been designed to operate on low maintenance and maintain their spectral qualities over time. If you want to spend more time with the animals, and less time in the ceiling, do not hesitate to ask what we can offer you.

What technology is PROVolitans using?The actual light is produced with unified LeS – Light Emitting Surface. LeS can be considered as a next-generation LED – it has higher light output, longer lifetime and better spectral qualities than LED. Luminaires of this technology can have small, compact design and yet amazing power. Technically 1000 W and 2000 W HQI luminaires can be substituted with units that are easily half the size, and one third in energy consumption.

Is PROVolitans manufacturer or just selling the luminaires?We have a privilege to be manufacturing and developing our own products. This means, that we are in the front line of development and we can customize solutions beyond imagination. By manufacturing ourselves we also ensure high quality and technical advantage in comparison to others.

What can PROVolitans offer?We offer luminaires based on Array LeS® technology. We also offer lighting solutions, including luminaires, installation systems and light control systems. When all luminaires come from PROVolitans product-family, they can be connected to single control system for easy access. Imagine being able to change settings of individual luminaires separately for each exhibit at your facility – with PROVolitans this is possible.

Our team is ready to help you with your lighting challenges. PROVolitans luminaires are suitable to all sizes of exhibits – may they be oceanariums, paludariums, tropicariums or anything in between. We can deliver anything from single luminaire to full-scale solutions where all luminaires of the zoo or aquarium come from one manufacturer. Curators and zoo keepers around the world know it –when technology is working, things are running naturally.

Control

Controlling individual luminaires All luminaires can be equipped with individual sunlight timers (IST®). With the timer it is possible to adjust sunrise and sunset, and daylight period. This is especially recommended when dealing with sensitive animals, that may experience stress during sudden light changes.

Controlling set of luminairesIn installations, where several exhibits have our luminaires, it is possible to purchase control system for adjusting the daylight cycles of individual luminaires. This makes it easy to adjust functions according to changing visitor hours, acclimation periods and maintenance procedures.

Control of Luminaires can be done with DMX, DALI, KNX and all of the common systems. We provide the system you need.

Maintenance

Luminaires are to be cleaned with water or pressurized air. All components inside casing are fully protected against surrounding conditions.Do not remove glass parts for cleaning – just go ahead and wash them while they are attached.

Warranty

All luminaires come with international 5-year warranty. Additionally all luminaires can be equipped with 10 year warranty.

Recycling

Luminaires are of 100 % recyclable materials.

Biotopes require sunlight, which we provide. Sunlight increases in the morning, has variations in intensity during the day, and dimms down in the evening. Living organisms might also enjoy some moonlight, which moves in the sky during the night.

We offer systems that replicate sunlight, clouds, sunrise and sunset, colour temperature changes from mornign to afternoon to night, moonlight, and stunning effects.

We can automate this for you in our lighting projects. Our systems can control individual aquariums/areas or multiple ones. We always supply a user friendly automated or manual control system.

CABLING

ADDITIONAL INFO

Luminaires are shipped with installation cable or chain and shackle/fast buckle (stainless steel). Same goes with the external power supply, they are always equipped with an installation chain and shackle/fast buckle. Simply hang the luminaire from the most convenient place to correct height, using the provided chain.Connect the socket to a wall outlet and you are ready to go.

Confirm that you are connecting the luminaire correctly, the cable between luminaire and power supply, and power supply - grid must not be mixed.The external power supply can be installed up to 50 meters away from the luminaire. They dont even necessarily need to be in the same space.

This might increase safety, due to low voltage DC in the luminaire cable, and also increase the lifespan of the power supply unit, incase of excessively hot installation temperatures.

All luminaires are equipped with an active cooling system that ensures their long lifespan of 200 000 hours.

Important:Do not obstruct air flow of luminaire.

If your external power supply is equipped with sunlight timer, install it to an easily accessible place.

Make sure to confirm your AC voltage upon order.

Typically all luminaires are equipped with universal voltage of 110 to 300 Vac.

Stylish barn doors may be ordered separately for quidance of light. In some installations barn doors can be used to camouflage luminaires from visitors.

Extended installation cable/chain may be ordered separately (1-10 m). Extra shackle/fast buckle may also be ordered.

Control individual luminaires with a day cycle controller that allows you to set up a sunrise and sunset for your biotope.For installations with special requirements, all luminaires can be delivered with external drivers. External drivers can be installed to separate maintenance space for easy access and service. Luminaire size can also be reduced, when drivers are external. External drivers are also recommended to be installed out of very warm ambient temperatures for increased reliability.
