Before Testing – Test Tickets 19

All students submitted through CEDARS by 3/30 will automatically have a test ticket generated for them.

Students will need a Test Ticket to access the assessments. (One ticket per assessment.)

The students’ Test Tickets provide all the login information needed to begin the assessment.

Proctors must verify they have one Test Ticket for each student and each content area. Students testing multiple content areas online will have multiple tickets.

Page 20: PROCTOR TRAINING WEBINAR APRIL 13 &16 Washington Online Testi ng OSPI Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction

Before Testing – Test Tickets 20

The Test Tickets are activated once a student logs in with his/her username and password. • Once the student completes a test (clicks “End Test”) the

Test Ticket becomes inactive. Once a test session has been started, the test

session must be completed in the same day unless extra time is provided on the students’ IEP or Section 504 Plan.

Test Tickets are secure testing materials. Tickets must be distributed, collected and accounted for, while in the testing area (computer lab, classroom) only.

During Testing – Additional Testing Time

26

Coordinate with the School Assessment Coordinator to create a plan for accommodating students requiring additional testing time to complete the online assessment. Following are some examples:• If the testing room/computer lab will remain available instruct those

students who need additional time to use the Pause function. Excuse all students who have completed their tests; the other students may then resume the test session. Or,

• If the testing room/computer lab is not available and the student needs to be moved instruct those students who need more time to Pause and Exit their test. Excuse all students who have completed their tests. The students requiring additional time will need to have their Test Ticket and all other materials moved to another location by a staff member. If the student leaves the test via this method, the original test ticket will work on the same day of initial testing as well as any day after. Or,

• At any time, if the student exits the test via the End Test button, the Test Ticket will have to be reset.

Page 27: PROCTOR TRAINING WEBINAR APRIL 13 &16 Washington Online Testi ng OSPI Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction

During Testing Security27

Cell phones, iPods®, pagers and any other communication devices must be turned off and kept out-of-view and out-of-reach during testing sessions. • Pause Function/Inactivity

― Students will have to re-login if they are on Pause or show no activity for more than 20 minutes. If it is less than 20 minutes they only need to click Resume.

― Upon re-logging in the original Test Ticket can be used. All testing irregularities must be reported to the School

Assessment Coordinator who will complete a Testing Irregularity Report and make the necessary coding in eDIRECT.

Resetting a Test Ticket: If a student’s test needs to be reset, the School Assessment Coordinator must be contacted.

Page 28: PROCTOR TRAINING WEBINAR APRIL 13 &16 Washington Online Testi ng OSPI Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction
