New Industrial Process Controller IPC0541/0543 The PROCOS development team has just finalized development of the new IPC0541 and IPC0543, based on one of the latest embedded CX units from Beckhoff. With this new IPC PROCOS are able to offer one of the markets most powerful solutions to handle the shop-floor level, and the solution will secure a good and

stable platform for quite a number of years ahead.

This new IPC is based on the CX2020 Embedded pc, which has a 1.4 GHz Intel® Celeron® single-core CPU, it is fanless and has no rotating components. The memory is 2 GB DDr3 RAM, 128 kB NOVRAM persistent data memory and it boots from a 4 GB CFast flash memory card. The CX2020 has two independent 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet interfaces (only the upper port is used by the IPC), four USB 2.0 interfaces and a DVI-I interface. The unit is also equipped with four RS422/RS485 optically isolated serial channels mounted as two serial modules on a PCI Express system bus on the left side of the basic CPU module. The power supply comes from a CX2100 power supply module, which is connected on the right-hand side of the CPU.

The extended operating temperature range between -25 and +60 °C enables application in climatically demanding situations.

After a field test, we expect to be able to do a final release of the new IPC in June this year.

The new IPC0541/0543 will be supported in PROCOS CBAS version 04.03 updated with a UBAS and in CBAS releases from version 04.04.

Desupport Notices

Desupport Notice for Industrial Process Controller IPC0911

As you may be aware, the IPC0911 has been developed in the late nineties and the first versions were released in 2001. Logica/CGI has previously announced a discontinuation of the unit, and indicated an

increased challenge with the repairs, primarily caused by discontinuation of the internal system modules.

Over the past months some of the early delivered IPCs have been brought in for repair with a new error. After having been stored without power for a period of time, the IPC had lost the internal configuration settings, and was not able to boot the operating system and the IPC application. Therefore the IPC had to be delivered for repair at CGI. The error was caused by too low voltage on the internal bios battery, and the battery cannot be changed in the field.

Further the SW platform used for the IPC0911 is based on old SW, and it creates increasing challenges to handle the required updates to align with the new versions of PROCOS.

The last PROCOS version which will include communication with IPC0911 is PROCOS CBAS version 04.05, planned for release by the end of 2015. I.e. IPC911 will not be supported in PROCOS Version 04.06 planned for release by the end of 2016, and in any further versions of PROCOS.

Desupport Notice for PROCOS version 4.01

By the end of 2014 CGI will no longer support and correct errors in PROCOS CBAS version 04.01.

Desupport Notice for IPC PLC protocols from PROCOS version 4.04

The following protocols on the IPC serial channels will be removed (these protocols are not used in any installations today):

PROCOS CBAS version 04.02 The CBAS version 04.02 of PROCOS was launched by December 2012.

Additional functionality and features was added, support for the Microsoft Windows 7 Pro and Server 2008 operating systems and Oracle 11 are as for CBAS 04.01 continued.

Interface to PROCOS (OPC DA SERVER)

The PROCOS OPC Server provides an OPC DA interface for the PROCOS system. This enables 3rd party OPC clients to read or write data in the PROCOS system.

OPC as such is a collection of standards for accessing data in process control systems. The OPC DA specification is probably the most commonly applied standard in process control systems.

The PROCOS OPC Server is compliant with version 2.0 of the OPC DA specification. The OPC Server only supports the “OPC Data Access Custom Interface” as defined by the OPC Foundation standards.

Single User Logon to PROCOS

A new installation parameter: LOGIN_ONLY=<UserId>has been added, restricting login on the station to a

specified user. This feature is valid for the blue PROCOS icon (PROCOS without desktop).

This is intended for stations that can be operated remotely by e.g. Netop. In this case the LOGIN_ONLY parameter ensures, that only 1 specific user may login to this station.

The capabilities of the user can be managed by the usual operator capabilities in EngTool.

Support for Wide-Screen Monitors

MIMIC pictures can be optimized for display on 16:9 monitors by setting the ASPECT_RATIO parameter.

ALARMDISP/LOGDISP Filter and System Alarms

An option has been added to the AlarmDisplay/LogDisplay filter dialogs, which when checked ensures that system alarms are always shown regardless of other filter settings

EngTool Improvements

EngTool now allows more than 1024 lines on the Aliases page. The maximum number of aliases in one Batch Unit has been increased to 2047.

The download status for objects in EngTool is now shown. Two new columns have been added to Tags and recipes: • Loaded (Yes/No) • EngTime The columns are sorted by pressing the column heading. Similarly the Loaded/EngTime information has been added as the first line when displaying sequence code from the standard picture.

Improve references from Batch Units and MIMIC actions: • Names of MIMIC actions added to references • Batch Unit Line and parameter names added to references • References to SEQ parameters are checked on save of a sequence.

Improve cross-reference from standard controllers. Controller, point types (and other types like BatchUnit, Profile, Recipe,...) have been added to references for Opr. Stations, ProcessHW, Tags, Profiles, AlarmInfo, and Alias.

I/O Type printed on Condensed IPC H/W Documentation. The ‘State’ column is replaced with ‘I/O’ and the following information is printed: • Beckhoff KL terminals are printed DI,DO,AI,AO,CI • Beckhoff terminal IL230x is printed as Dx, it is 4*DI + 4*DO • PIU 1125 option YY is not printed as DIx but as the relevant of DI/CI or AI/CI.

Wirebreak on BECKHOFF 0-20mA AI-Terminals

The wirebreak levels on various Beckhoff 4-20mA AI-terminals are very close to 4mA. This has caused problems when PIU AI terminals are replaced with Beckhoff AI terminals.

A wirebreak detection is now implemented in the IPC that resembles the "old" wirebreak detection in

PIU1236, which means that PIUs can be replaced with Beckhoff 0-20mA AI-terminals.

Calibration Setting on BECKHOFF AI-terminals KL/KS3142/3152

The "Stabilization of calibration active" feature is automatically disabled by the IPC due to a firmware problem in some variants of these terminals. This firmware problem may prevent the terminal from providing a valid process value for a longer period of time (minutes), if the AI is changing all the time.

Disabling "Stabilization of calibration active" corresponds to setting: R32.7=0 in the terminal.

Standard Reporting: Add Batch Mask

An entry field has been added to the BatchID drop-down list in the Batch report. It can be used to filter the entries shown in the drop-down.


Replaceable PROCOS Logo in Batch Report

PROCOS logo can be replaced by another bitmap logo (or an empty bitmap).

RC Returned From Event Based Commands

When actions COL, PCOL, LRCP, and SRCP are completed then the following takes place:

ORACLE -> OSISOFT PI Improved Performance

Time based data collections can now be engineered with hysteresis. This feature can significantly reduce the amount of data collected.

Furthermore the sample interval and the state of the data collection can be controlled by a tag.

Allow direct copy to PI tables to improve the PI interface performance.

Test of ORACLE 11G XE

The free version of Oracle 11g (XE version) has been formally successfully tested.

Upgrade Development Tools to Visual Studio 2010

Upgrading development tools in order to future-proof PROCOS development.

The following Operation Systems are no longer supported from CBAS 04.02:

Case Sensitive Login

It is now possible to use case sensitive passwords on PROCOS systems with advanced user access control.

In the User Administration Tool the field “Use case sensitive passwords” indicates whether passwords are case sensitive or not. Changing this setting takes effect immediately (also for existing passwords).

The field “Require both upper- and lowercase” indicates whether passwords should have both upper- and lowercase letters.

This feature is only available on Oracle 11g or later.

Instructions with Text Parameters The following instructions are now available with a MSG_ID or a text parameter in IPC and Controller

Executor:

AONL AONM AONH MSG OPR PUT GET (IPC only)

The current alarm text has been added to the SEQ and CTL standard pictures as well.

Extended Send Controller (SNX) The Send eXtended Controller (SNX) is used for transmission of all types of point values from one IPC to another.

SNX sends up to 31 point values to destination points in another IPC. It is not recommended to send string points with long values due to the package overhead associated with long string point values.

A point is sent

when the point value has changed more than hysteresis since it was sent last time.

Custom Scan on Controller Executor The Custom scan is intended to make special scan intervals available for each Controller Executor. An example could be to make a scan that is faster than the standard Very Fast scan, however care shall be

taken not to put too many controllers in such an extra fast scan class. The value of Custom scan is specified as an environment parameter for each Controller Executor.

Relational Operators <=, >=, and <> added to SEQ for IPC and Controller Executor These are operators for comparison of two analog, counter or string expressions.

IPC Standard Pictures improvement: PID User Interface In order to improve readability the D and I terms have been removed from the standard picture when they are not defined in Engineering Tool.

IPC Standard Pictures improvement: for AI, DI, DO, DOm and DOf Information about filtering and Inverted/Normal conversion on IPC Standard Pictures:

The picture for AI points now includes information about filtering. The pictures for DI, DO, DOm, DOf now includes information about Inverted/normal conversion.

Change Priority of PIU-tasks in IPC

Tests have shown that the PIU-tasks in the IPC might run at a lower priority than expected due to the prioritizing algorithm used by QNX. This might result in scan overflow in heavy load situations.

Consequently a solution has been implemented to ensure that the PIU-tasks handling the serial input/output run at a higher priority.

Add missing Batch Ids in Batch Executor

The Batch Executor now has an additional utility: EmBatUtil.exe

This utility can be used to add missing Batch IDs to the BAT-EXEC Mapplication. This may be relevant in cases, where the Batch IDs known by BAT-EXEC are lost.


Limitation of Net Mimic list

Only MIMICs on stations that are loadable now appear in the downloading list in PIC-TOOL.

Extract for CBAS v. 04.00 from new Engineering Database

This feature makes it easier to extract from a new Engineering database on a test system (CBAS v. 04.02 or newer) and merge this file into an older factory system (e.g. CBAS v. 04.00 or CBAS v. 04.01).

Printers added to Setup Report

Printers are now included in the Setup Report ([Tools] [Report]).

Application note: Interface to other Industrial I/O bus Systems In order to access equipment with other fieldbus interfaces e.g. Profibus DP from a Modbus Gateway or an

IPC0911/0531/0533/0541/0543, PROCOS has been configured and tested together with a new bus coupler from Beckhoff with the type number: CX8090-0011 and a fieldbus interface terminal from the EL/ES6xxx or KL/KS6xxx series.

The bus coupler supports the Modbus TCP (LAN) protocol and the Modbus Gateway or IPC is configured to read and write data from this interface. The CX8090-0011 must be configured and downloaded from the Beckhoff TwinCAT2 system tool.

The downloaded information is stored on a small memory card which can be transferred to a spare part if the bus coupler has to be exchanged.

LogBook Package

SERVICE AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS

ANNUAL SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE FEE As from 2009, the licensing structure was changed to include an annual software maintenance fee. As a

consequence all new licenses purchased from 2009 and onwards will automatically be subject to an annual maintenance fee of 18% of the current list price. This fee will be invoiced automatically at the beginning of each year, starting immediately after purchase. The annual software maintenance fee will include: Web Service Access (own report tracking) Software Updates - new releases Hotline support - normal working hours Written response on reported problems Onsite support at reduced rate

Web Service Access: The customer is granted access to a service portal, where he can issue error reports and problems found in the standard software system.

Software Updates - New Releases: Subscribers will (on request) receive future PROCOS CD/DVD-ROM releases and updates when available. For each license that is on support, subscribers are eligible to receive one copy on a CD/DVD per system of the corresponding new PROCOS release within the current platform. Customers can be assessed a charge for third party products included in any upgrades.

Hotline Support (normal working hours): Maintenance personnel from the customer may call CGI during normal business hours and get access to qualified personnel via CGI’s call back service. If an issue during phone support is identified as a system related issue it must be issued in written form via the Web Service.

Written Response on reported problems: The Customer submits a request for Support in written form via the maintenance Web Service portal. The Customer must specify the priority (critical, high, medium,

low or nice-to-have) at which they require the support to the provided. CGI undertakes to send a reply within 2 weeks of the receipt of the request. In the event that the nature of the request is such that a response requires a more extensive investigative effort of CGI, the initial reply will be of a general nature.

Onsite support at reduced rate: The customers have access to receive onsite technical support from CGI at reduced rates. Onsite support can be requested on the provision of 2 weeks written notice.

Clients with existing licenses requiring support according to the points described above can sign up for the annual software maintenance fee of 18%.

Other Support Tasks/Projects CGI is obliged to have trained personnel with specific technical knowledge about the Systems and with general knowledge about the system parts that are normally present in the customer installation.

Support can cover such aspects as: Implementation Support, which covers support in connection with recovery installations, test and

documentation, training etc. Maintenance Support or additional development on the customer system, which may include assistance

with, for example, technically complex integration issues, new or other aspects of the customer specific system where the Customer decides to use support.

Training in for example the tools used for maintenance of the customer specific system, training in the technical usage of the System, end user training.

Operational support to the technical part of the Customer's organization regarding infrastructure etc. End user support in situations where the Customer decides that direct contact between CGI and some

end users may be beneficial.

Specific Project Support can be provided on request and will be charged on a time and material basis.

INDUSTRIAL PROCESS CONTROLLER FAMILY The different IPC types are based on two versions of the embedded pc hardware platform CX1020/2020 from Beckhoff. It is a modular control system hardware that can be mounted on top-hat rails.

The IPC supports simultaneous communication with I/O modules or PLCs attached to each of the four serial interfaces on the IPC and attached to the LAN bus couplers. Each I/O module, PLC data block or LAN bus coupler has a PIU address. The LAN bus coupler may be configured with up to 63 electronic terminal blocks and a Bus End Terminal.

The IPC is delivered in two configurations: Up to 255 standard controllers (AlgoIDs), each with up to 63 messages (IPC0531/0541) Up to 511 standard controllers (AlgoIDs), each with up to 63 messages (IPC0533/0543)

The IPC supports 900 CMOS cells which may be used to store parameters during power off and it has

A UPS module can be used for the uninterruptible power supply of an IPC. In the event of a failure of the external supply, the module ensures that the application software can save important data. During the UPS retention time, the machine or process can be transferred into a defined state, and the operating system can be shut down. The retention time can be set via a rotary switch or via software. The use of

state of the art capacitors makes this UPS module – unlike other battery-powered techniques – absolutely maintenance-free and offers rapid charging. The module can simply be added to a CX system.

REPAIR OF HARDWARE Repair of Beckhoff modules (BK/KL/KS/KM/CU/EL/ES/IE/IL), power supplies, crates and cables can’t be repaired or is often too expensive in shipping and handling compared to the price of a new module. Repair of IPC0911, PIU1125, 1165, 1225 and 1236 they can be repaired in limited quantities, if CGI has the necessary spare parts in stock or if CGI can get the necessary spare parts from suppliers. Repair of hardware for IPC0531/533, IPC0541/0543 and optionally attached UPS units are send to Beckhoff for examination and repair. Examination, repair, functional test, burn-in and adjustment (e.g. calibration of AI/AO PIU modules)

Repair of PIU1166 is not possible! Power supplies are not available as spare parts. The types PWR0101 and PWR0102 can’t be repaired, but it is possible to use the type numbers PWR0111 or PWR0116 as a replacement, but this requires a minor change of the connector position/type in the power crate:

PWR0111 Power supply for PIUs in CRA0021/0018 PIU Crate, DC, 5V/20A. This power supply replaces PWR0101, but requires a minor change of the connector position in the power crate.

PWR0116 Power supply for PIUs, DC, 24V/4A. This power supply replaces one or two PWR0102/0114, but requires a minor change of the connector type and position in the power crate. Use one PWR0116 per each eight analog PIU in the same crate. PIU power requirements, worst case: o PIU1225 with internal loop supply max. 500 mA. o PIU1236 with internal loop supply max. 500 mA. o PIU1236 with external loop supply max. 150 mA.


PIU MODULE - PREFERRED ON-BOARD FIRMWARE

The tables below states the preferred version of the on-board firmware used on the process interface modules.

The modules has been produced in two versions, the latest versions where released from 1995 to 1998.

Please check that the PIU modules are upgraded to a preferred version!

PROCOS SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

In order to install and run the systems on a standard PC the below mentioned guidelines for system requirements should be noted. It is emphasised that this is a guideline for new systems, database PC(s) installed with Windows 7 or Server 2008 R2 must use Oracle 11gR2, for further information, please refer to the PRCOS user manual: USM_103.

The requirements/recommendations stated below are for the PROCOS Basic Software package on either an Operator Station (e.g. SCADA software) or an Engineering Station (on-line operational software and off-line engineering tools).

Please consult the installation appendix in the USM for each additional Mapplication needed in order to check the overall requirements for the PC.

The minimum hardware requirements are:

Windows compatible PC. Processor speed at least 1 GHz. RAM requirements: See table below. 100 GByte hard disk. If ORACLE® is installed, a larger hard disk may be necessary. CD- or DVD-drive. DVD-drive required for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. 3-4 USB-ports. 1 is used for the PROCOS Protection Key (dongle) and 1 for service/maintenance

use (memory sticks etc.), 1-2 ports may be used for keyboard/mouse - some systems are not equipped with PS2 ports for keyboard/mouse. Parallel port dongles are still supported, but they are not produced anymore.

Keyboard supported by Windows. Mouse supported by Windows. Networking access. Ethernet 10, 100 or 1000 Mbit/s.

Some PROCOS Mapplications/features may have additional hardware requirements.

Optional printer supported by Windows: A networking model is preferable in systems with multiple PCs.

COM-port(s): Needed by gateways using serial ports and by the Bar Code and Token Access Control features.

PCI video adapter(s): Needed on PC(s) with dual or triple monitor support.

PCI network adapter(s): Needed on PC(s) with multiple network access

In addition to the above you should consider the following: For database PC(s) with Oracle 9.2, Oracle 10g release 2, Oracle XE or Oracle 11gR2:

Add at least an additional 512 MB RAM per ORACLE® database installed (1 GB for Oracle 11gR2).

For report web server PC(s): Add at least an additional 512 MB RAM in order to accommodate the IIS.

For stand-alone systems: Do not go below the limit “RAM (recommended)”.

Additional Mapplications may require extra software. Please consult the installation appendix in the user manual for each additional Mapplication needed. It is in general recommended to avoid installing any software that requires internet access.

PROCOS does by default disable the desktop taskbar and system tray. This may conflict with other 3rd party applications that require this functionality.

9NB: Latest PROCOS version was CBAS 04.01 (with UBAS updates), after this version the updated

Microsoft development tools does not support these two operating systems!

All types of business- and client purchase where PROCOS- product and services are included, are delivered in accordance with CGI Standard Terms for Projects (LSTC-P) and/or CGI Standard Terms for Consultants (LSTC-CV) both herby incorporated into this agreement by reference and also agree on the terms and conditions outlined in this document (PROCOS End User Price List,

valid from January the 1st 2014). The two documents (LSTC-P and LSTC-CV), can be requested by sending a mail to [email protected]

Terms of Payment

30 days net from date of invoice.

Interest on overdue payments will be charged according to current law or agreement.

Schedule of Delivery

Delivery will be specified on receipt of order.

Terms of Delivery

Ex works CGI Danmark A/S, according to Incoterms 2000.

Warranty

One (1) year’s warranty starting on the day of acceptance, however, maximum 18 months after the day of

delivery. The warranty includes repair of faulty modules at our plant in Ballerup.

Costs in connection with travels and accommodation as well as consignments are not included in our

warranty, just as consequential damages are not covered. The warranty does not cover tear-and-wear

materials like filters, printer ribbons, discs, paper and bulbs. The warranty alone includes replacement or

repairs (including debugging in software) at the supplier's premises after receipt of the defect parts (in

case of software bugs according to a failure report).

Limitation of liability

The parties are liable in accordance with Danish law.

However, CGI's liability shall in no event exceed an amount equal to the amount paid by the customer for

the specified deliveries.

CGI shall not in any event be liable for lost profit, loss of data, lost goodwill, damages caused by computer

viruses or indirect or consequential damages.

Proprietary Right and Copyright

The standard programs specified in this quotation remain the property of CGI Danmark A/S.

"Customer" buys the right of use to the standard software.

CGI Danmark A/S retains the proprietary right to the delivered system until the last part payment is

received.


Reservations Regarding Product Replacement

CGI Danmark A/S reserves the rights to replace the specified products with similar or better units, which

at the time of delivery may form part of our delivery program.

This right also applies as long as CGI Danmark A/S has the responsibility for warranty and maintenance of

the delivered product.

Additional Supplies and Services

Services, which are not included in a quotation and which are carried out by explicit order from the

customer, will be invoiced according to the lowest possible rate as per statement.

• The hourly rates are settled according to valid price list.

• Allowances outside Denmark are settled according to Danish government rates +15%.

• Allowances inside Denmark are settled according to actual costs +15%.

• Transportation is settled according to actual costs +15%.

• Accommodation costs are settled according to actual costs +15%.

Law and venue

The agreement is subject to Danish law.

Any dispute that may arise out of or in connection with this agreement shall be settled at the Danish

Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen, Denmark.

PROCOS Software Products Delivery

PROCOS Software Products are distributed according to the PROCOS Program License Agreement.

All third-party products are delivered subject to the warranty expressly offered by the respective third-

party manufacturer.

All products are licensed for the use on a single personal computer system.

PROCOS software products are delivered on DVD-ROM.

Prices

All prices are in DKK.

All prices are ex works, Ballerup, Denmark.

All prices are exclusive of customs duties, import duties and taxes.
