1. FOR ADDITIONAL PLANTING INFORMATION NOT MENTIONED IN THESE GENERAL PLANTING NOTES, REFER TO SPECIFICATIONS.

2. OBTAIN LETTER OF FINAL GRADE CERTIFICATION FROM CITY PRIOR TO BEGINNING PLANTING OPERATIONS CERTIFYING THAT ROUGH GRADES AREWITHIN 1/10TH OF AN INCH FROM SPECIFIED FINISH GRADES. ENSURE THAT FINISH GRADE ELEVATIONS OF PLANTING AREAS ARE SET AT PROPERELEVATIONS RELATIVE TO PAVING FINISH SURFACE ELEVATIONS, UTILITY COVERS AND CURBS.

7. NOTIFY THE CITY'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE AT LEAST SEVENTY-TWO (72) HOURS IN ADVANCE TO PERFORM A SPECIFIED SITEOBSERVATION TASK. INSUFFICIENT NOTIFICATION TIME GIVEN TO THE CITY'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE MAY REQUIRE THE SITE VISIT TO BECANCELED, OR POSSIBLY MAKE THE CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE TO COMPENSATE THE CITY FOR OVERTIME.

8. THE CONTRACTOR MUST FURNISH PLANT MATERIAL FREE OF PESTS, POOR CONDITION, OR DISEASE. PLANT MATERIAL MUST BE CERTIFIED PESTAND DISEASE FREE.

9. IF CONFLICTS ARISE BETWEEN THE ACTUAL SIZE OF PLANTING AREAS ON-SITE AND THOSE INDICATED ON DRAWINGS, CONTACT THE CITY'SAUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR RESOLUTION.
