Location: Various Impact on the Network: None Time of Cutover: None Time of work: 30mins Prerequisites: 1. The PC program PowerSuite (vn 3.1) must be installed previously on the PC that will be used. Supplied on CD. 2. The PC program”FWLoader 3 26” (or later version) must be installed on the PC that will be used. Supplied on CD Note! Do not install ”FWLoader” twice on the computer, this may cause the program to fail and you will have to remove all FWLoader programs from the computer and reinstall it. Check if you have FWLoader installed on your computer (search for a file called ”FWLoader”). If you do not have it installed, then obtain the zip-file called ” FWLoader 3 26 including dll files” from the CD and unzip it into a suitable folder on your computer. Remember the folders location on your computer, or create a desktop shortcut of the file ”FWLoader 3 26” 3.     The numbers on the diagram on the left refer to the numbers in the procedure

    Work Procedures: CHECK

    1. Connect a PC to the Smartpack using a standard USB AB cable

    2. Start the FWLoader program on the PC;

    3. In the FWLoader dialog box: Select Smartpack, in Target Selection

    4. Select 1, in Target Address

    5. Select COMx in Communication Type. Refer to the PowerSuite program to find the communication port the PC uses to communicate with the controller.

    6. Click on the Open Source File button and, Select the SmartPackDist_402073.009_V0304.mhx file from the CD (see Prerequisites Item 3 above)

    7. Click on the write to Target button, to load the firmware to the Smartpack controller.

    Note: While the firmware is loaded to the Smartpack controller (approx. 15mins). The FWLoader program displays a progress bar, and the controllers display shows the currently programmed segment.

    8. Close the FWLoader and open PowerSuite 3.1 and log in with 3 password.

    9. Navigate to the Rectifiers window then the Efficiency tab and select HE priority (see diagram below). Click Apply.

    HE rectifiers will now be on as a priority over the standard rectifiers until the HE rectifiers reach current limit when the standard rectifiers will turn on.
