Problems and Demands of elderly• Elderly friendly hospitals (special care)• Availability of generic medicine from all govt hospitals.• Free treatment and subsidies for medicine.• Age friendly infrastructure in hospitals• Experienced nurses to deal with old people• Provision of getting decent death at hospitals• Organ donation instructions • Health medical camps and distribution of master cards for free

medicines (take it as govt responsibility) • Anganawady and Ashraya projects must be linked to age friendly

activities

• Old age pension should be given on every month and a timely increase in pension

• Orphanage provisions (food and medicine) or grants must not be derailed.

• “Vayojana vakuppu” – govt department for old age people

• The procedure of ensuring a man is alive for pension is very pathetic…use social network or PRO should come to old people for ensuring….

• Age friendly centers in every district

• Annual income should not be calculated on household basis but individually because most of the old people are BPL

• Every old persons should get any of govt schemes irrespective of APL and BPL category: welfare pension or old age pension.

• ‘Age friendly village’ then ‘age friendly KERALA’

• Reserved Bus seats should be shifted to the centre• Concession in travelling in buses(30%)• Vehicles needed for pakal veedu and must be linked

to pain and palliative care of PHC

• In order to tap the experience of old people they must be included in the monitoring and evaluation committee for small remunarations by LSG

• LSG provision for elderly to be increased from 5% to 10%

• Lack of day care centers for old people (Pakal veedu) and no grants from LSG for running this Pakal veedu

• Bank should lend loans to old people• The terminological shift: from old people to

senior citizens• Special consideration for old people in long

cues in govt departments• The threat of other state people must be

• Age friendly concepts must be taught in the class rooms and must be included in the curriculum

• Services of social workers and councillors must be used for the benefit of old age people

• Lunch to be provided to bed ridden people • Awareness classes for old age people instilling hope

and will to deal uncertainties.• Food path must be constructed while road planning• Visa processing problems and toil of the old people

Regarding voting of old age people

• Voting friendly atmosphere for old people – old people have problem of travelling – vote verifications must not be biased– Age friendly measures to be adopted

• Orphanages should be small communities comprising 20 to 30 people

• The provisions of govt are not sufficing and looking after more than 150 people is very tedious job . The one to one sharing is impossible in this regard.

• Old pension must be given the persons wherever they are that is even if they are in homes, streets or orphanage.
