Cyrus mistry Cyrus Pallonji Mistry (born 4th july 1966) is an Irish businessman of Indian origin son of Pallonji Sapoorji Mistry . Who holds 18.4 % of stake in TATA SONS , the largest individual shareholder of the group Mystry was the Managing Director of Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Joined in TATA SONS on 1 September 2006 He was the chairman of TATA SONS between 2012 – 2016 TATA SONS board voted to remove Mistry from the chairmanship on 24th October 2016

TATA filed a contempt petition in NCLT(National Company Law Tribunal ) against MistryTATA filed a plea in Mumbai , Delhi high courts and Supreme court by requesting that no further action would be taken before hearing Company’s side NCLAT rejected Mistry’s plea seeking a stay on the EGM
