Abstract
To begin with, my term project paper has been prepared at Park View Regional Medical Center
with Human Resource Manager Kari McNamara, PHR. I have been very much happy meeting
with Kari McNamara and also interviewing with her. Also, I thank to Class lecturer to giving me
what a wonderful project to prepare. I expect this project will be helpful in creation of my HR
knowledge. And then, this paper is mainly based on general and some specific questions about
Human Resource environment. In my paper, I tried to prepare as much as possible strong and
imaginative way to understand Human Resource and Human being and 21st century’s Human
Resource procedure. PRMC is a kind of imaginative and creative and innovative and incentive
company in HR area as we figure out the employee diversification in Indiana. As well as, I
selected PRMC to prepare my

Park View’s President and CEO is Mike Packnett, Chief Operating Officer is Sue Ehinger,
Ph.D. and Chairman is Chuck Schrimper. Park View is a non-profit, community based health
system serving North East Indiana population of more 820,000 with 8,252 employees. It is the
largest employer in North East Indiana. The Mission of the company’s is providing quality
health services. The Vision of the company is leading provider of Health Care services in North
Eastern Indiana with providing cost effective and outstanding and effective and creative and
innovative quality care using information and knowledge and experience and technology.
Latest awards of the Park View are Stroke Gold Quality Achievement, in Nov.2012 to Park
View Hospital and PRMC by American Heart Association and then 2012’s top quartile
performer by iVantage Hospital Strength Indices, in Nov. 2012 to Park View LaGrange Hospital
and VHA Central PEAK Award for Performance Excellence, in Apr. 2012.

1- Could you tell me why you did choose Human Resource as you profession?
Answer:
‘Well, I did not choose it, it was chosen for me. In my career path I have working for 18
years, now I stay in the field. Also I have a patient for people and also varieties of HR
offerings are other reasons. Basically, Human Resource is not a routine job, I am enjoying
strategic challenges of the HR faces.
2- What are qualifications in your area of expertise, i.e., what skills do you have that make
you the best candidate for this position? Include any special training you have had (on-
the-job, college, continuing education, seminars, reading, etc.) and related work
experience.

Qualifications
- Patience : ability to interact with variety of diversification
- Accepting different views
- Ability to listen
- Address the issue that you have
- HR is a conflict management that is critical role in our area.
Education :
- Depends on roles
- Entry level: It is lower level; the applicant has to have Associate Degree.
- Specialist level: It is a kind of Bachelors Degree concept.

Training:
- Masters Degree is a plus
- Professional : HR Certifications
- Training helps to cover the HR issues
- Keeps us updated in the laws.

3- What sizes of organizations have you worked in?
Answer:
Personally
- I started at Karsh Window Company; it is a small company with 450 employees
in Middlebury Indiana.
- And then I worked at company Flash Fold: Made card board boxes with 350
employees.
- Finally: Park View.
When I started to work at Park View, we had 4,500 employees 17 years ago, now
we are 8,252 employees.

4- What industries have you worked in?
Answer:
I worked in two industries.
a) Manufacturing:
Union environment is very much in a manufacturing world.
b) Health Care
5- What qualities and skills do you think a successful geosciences professional should have?
Which of these qualities and skills you named, do you have?
Answer:
Health Care is an industry that needs attention to detail.
- I say that because any profession you have has to be detailed on little things.
As a Human Resource person on customers
As a Dr. on patients
- Health Care is a degree of accuracy. Especially on science area you are getting
where you want to go.
- Today’s world innovative and creative, if not you cannot get next step.
- Non-Fear Approach: You have to have a non-risk approach, Health Care is some
type of degree of risk.
Quality and Skills : “ I have little bit each of these, I wish I could excel more in as
innovative thinking”

6- What college courses or experience have prepared you for the position you applied for
with PRMC?
Answer:
When I came to Park View, my level was Entry Level
- Entry Level needs Associate Degree which is based on Paralegal courses in law.
- Specialist Role: Bachelors Degree. My college courses helped in that role.
- Leadership: PHR Certificate helped me to be in Leadership position.
All of my college courses and experiences helped me to be promoted.
7- What three things are most important to you in a position?
Answer:
a) Integrity and Trust: Full believe is this that you have to earn those people you work
with.
b) Would be accepted, bring the table and accepted that position by those work with.
c) Diversity acceptance in a role: We all are different, it is so important in any position
anybody has.

8- What is you interpretation of “success”?
Answer:
Success is ability to my internal drives; it is over powering and a fear of risk
and also welcoming and learning opportunities.
Success is achieving your own personal patience, those define each of our
ability to succeed.
9- What is your typical way of dealing with conflict?
Most important with dealing:
a) Listen: I make sure and I understand and then use pose, listening gets my thoughts
together, and then I present for recommendation result to the conflict.
b) ‘Win Win’ mentality approach: I have to adopt depending upon the conflict.
c) Important to know when you have to see conversation conflict, sometimes I agree
or not.

Answer:
Employee’s success methods

Gives understanding of individuality and personality

The individual’s own career level; entry level and continuous to promote them
Based upon understanding own success, we have to define own success

Knowing individual’s definition of success
Successful where they want to be they see themselves
Success all about you personally want to be.

Conclusion
I see outside and inside of PRMC is a great place to visit. Park View is known as highly
qualified communication with doctors and nurses and responsiveness of hospital staff and strong
experience in pain management and communication about medications and also discharges
information and instructions, and quiet patient rooms at night, and also clean well sterilized
patient rooms and bathrooms and stroke care.
