PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
PEO Statement
PEO-1 Student should be able to understand the knowledge of Basic Sciences and Social Science in
general and Electrical Engineering in particular so as to impart the necessary skill to analyze and
synthesize Electrical systems, algorithms, complex apparatus, and solve the problem encountered
in related fields.
PEO-2 Student should be able to integrate academic knowledge acquired during the program with field
practice for the development of the Engineering profession in industry and/or government
organizations.
PEO-3 Student should be able to work in different work environment through communication skills as
members or leaders in multi-disciplinary teams and as Engineering professional in the context of
social values and professional ethics.
PEO-4 Student should be able to engage in lifelong learning to maintain and enhance professional skills,

PO Statement - Engineering Graduates will be able to:
PO-1
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an
Electrical engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering
problems.
PO-2
Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering
problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics,
natural sciences, and Electrical engineering sciences.
PO-3
Design solutions for complex Electrical engineering problems and design system
components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate
consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and
environmental considerations.

SHORT TERM TRAINING PROGRAM
Short term training program for the faculties of engineering, diploma colleges as well as research
scholars was conducted during 13.6.16 - 18.6.16 on "Advanced Electrical Drives and its Applications".
Dr.D.P.Kothari (Ex.Director, IIT New Delhi) was the Chief Guest for the inauguration of STTP on
13.6.16. Dr.M.P.Singh, Principal (P.C.E) presided over the function. Dr.R.V.Kshirsagar, Principal
(P.I.G.C.E), Dr.S.P.Muley (HOD, Electrical), Dr.K.B.Porate, ( Dean, Academics) graced the function.
Prof.Mrs.P.S.Gotekar and Prof. C. Kamble , Coordinators of the STTP had worked hard to make this
event a successful one.
Inaugaration of STTP on 13.6.16
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Memorandum of understanding was signed on 7.7.16 between Shree Ashoka Solar Energy Pvt Ltd
and Priyadarshini College of Engineering. The collaboration will foster industry institute relation for
the development of students.

Researcher's Meet
Researchers meet was held on 15.7.16 to discuss the identified areas in which research work can be
carried out in the department. Dr. D. P. Kothari, (Ex. Director, IIT Delhi), Dr.(Mrs.) P. Devanani
(Principal, RMCE), Dr. M. M. Renge (Professor, RKNEC, Nagpur), Dr. R. M. Moharil (Professor,
YCCE, Nagpur), Dr. S. G. Tarnekar (Ex.Professor, VNIT,Nagpur), Dr. S. B. Deshpande (Dean,
PIET), Dr.K.B.Porate (Dean (Academics)), Dr.S.P.Muley (Head, Electrical Department, PCE)
attended the meet.

Academicians meet was held on 18/06/16 to discuss mission, vision of the Electrical department.

Parents Teacher Meet
Parents Teacher Meet was conducted on 06/08/16 to improve the interaction between parents and
teachers and to convey the progress of students. The meeting was presided over by Dr.M.P. Singh (
Principal PCE). Several parents interacted with faculties and enquired about their wards progress.
GURUPURNIMA CELEBRATION
Gurupurnima Celebration was conducted on19/07/16 to express the gratitude towards the Guru
(teacher) for their profound guidance in every walk of life. Dr.M.P.Singh (Principal, PCE) ,
Dr.K.B.Porate (Dean Academics), Dr.S.P.Muley (HOD), faculties and students were present.
CAMPUS TO CORPORATE TRAINING
The campus training was conducted during 18/07/16 – 22/07/16 to impart requisite skills to the
student to handle interviews, job interview tips and technique by Dr. Mrs. Rozina Rana, (Head, HR.
Department). It will also help students in campus selection process with the knowledge of soft skills
and aptitude techniques.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS FORUM (EESF) Installation
The installation ceremony of the office bearers for EESF was done for the post of President, Vice
President, Treasurer and members on 23/07/16
FELICITATION OF BRIGHT STUDENTS
Felicitation of toppers with a medals and certificates on 23/07/16 in the department was done.

Academicians meeting was held on 02/08/16 which was attended by Dr. S. M. Kelo (Principal,
Nagarjuna, COE , Nagpur), Prof.AjayMendhe (HOD,Electrical Engineering, P.J.L.C.C.E, Nagpur),
Prof. U. B. Malkhandale (HOD, Electrical Engineering, P.I.G.C.E., Nagpur), Prof. J. S. Bhonsle
(HOD, Electrical Engineering, P.I.E.T., Nagpur), Dr.K.B.Porate (Dean Academics), Dr.S.P.Muley

GUEST LECTURES
Guest Lecture on Vedic Mathematics was conducted by Mr. Deshpande on 05/08/16 to enhance
computational skills in students & to develop analytical thinking through Vedic mathematics.
Guest lecture by Dr. M. M. Renge (Professor, RKNEC, Nagpur ) on FACTS Controllers was
conducted on 31/08/16 for final years students.
Guest lecture by on 31/08/16 on, "Lead-Lag compensator and Electrical Drives" by Mr. Satish
Vaidhya (Regional Director, Prolific System Pvt. Ltd. Nagpur). Students got the detail knowledge
about Industrial Automation.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
World Yoga Day
World Yoga day was celebrated on 20.06.2016 where Prof. M.A.Gaidhane demonstrated the yoga and
explained its importance in day to day life.
Blood Donation Camp
Blood Donation Camp in association with RAINBOW Blood Bank, Nagpur on 06/08/16 where 40
people donated blood.
PLC TRAINING
Seven days workshop on Industrial Automation (PLC & SCADA) during the period 22/08/16 –
27/08/16. The training gave information to students the needs of Automation in industries. Students
were trained on PLCs of companies like Siemens, Allen Bradley. Mr. Satish Vaidhya (Regional
Director, Prolific System Pvt. Ltd. Nagpur) trained the students during this period.
Ganesh puja was performed on 26/10/15 and the prasad was distributed among teaching and non-
teaching staff.
