Engel & Völkers Sara Grech opened the first Regional

Market Centre (RMC) within the Engel & Völkers network in February 2013.This year we are moving to our new home in Mriehel which spans over 1000sqm in size. To date the Engel & Völkers network have opened 6 new market centres across the globe; Barcelona, New York, Bogotá, Vienna, Madrid and a few more are planned for 2015.

Benjamin Grech explained that “One of the most important elements of designing any office space, is working to increase serendipitous prospecting between agents who normally wouldn't interact. Interacting with different kinds of people simulates conversations that can often lead to new ways of approaching a task. "We think about that a lot," he says. "How do we draw people together

who wouldn't normally be drawn together?" The key success drivers have been a centralised location paired with a focused strategic approach in the market. “With the new RMC we want to significantly extend our market position and emerge as the leading property service providers,” said Mr Grech.

Our new RMC is part of the service platform we offer our agents. It is centrally located for easy access to all corners of the island with ease to reach our 5 property lounges which are strategically located around the island, which serve as a place for making contact with potential new clients and a strong marketing tool within a sub market.” In addition, we plan to open a further 3 property lounges by mid-2016, said Mr Grech.

“Our business offers a lifestyle, and the Engel & Völkers lifestyle is

what the RMC represents. The design consists of numerous workstations, private meeting rooms, informal lounge spaces, a gymnasium (a great facility to have with more and more people wanting to make use of), showers, and recreational areas. "Our objective is to provide agents with the optimum service platform, to offer the highest quality real estate service in the local market. With this aim in mind we have separate support and development departments and wellbeing policies to help our agents", said Mr Grech.

We have devised ways for our agents to accomplish a fast rate of growth by professionally guiding them to achieve better integration of home and work life. We look forward to complementing our agents with a working environment they can call home away from home.

It is no longer acceptable for companies to experience

economic prosperity in isolation from those agents impacted by its actions. We must focus our attention on both increasing the bottom line and being a good corporate citizen. We continue to revise our short- and long-term agendas, to stay ahead of rapidly changing challenges, said Mr Benjamin Grech.

December is the month of jingles and joy with the 25th day being one of the most anticipated days of the year. So we got thinking! What it is that we love so much about this month and the 25th day? Loved by many and dreaded by some. How can we share some ways to help those that might not love this day as much as others? This year we wanted to make the less fortunate children happier and in what better way than encourage those that love

the festive season so much to help those that don’t.

‘Give away goods for Kids’ was launched mid-November by Benjamin Grech (captioned with Sister Silvia Cassar). We partnered with other local organizations, and collected stationery and clothing. We approached MSGNR. Victor Zammit Mckeon who is the Director of ‘Ejjew Ghandi’ (Children Homes). Under its portfolio it has 10 residential homes and 6 child day care centres, situated all over Malta.

MSGNR. Zammit Mckeon was delighted with our intentions and accepted this collaboration. Benjamin Grech expressed that, “Typical charity events in Malta during this time of year target people with disabilities or illnesses. We always try to come up with something different, and thought

of making Christmas more special to hundreds of children in Malta.”

This campaign was launched on the 19th November and ended on the 19th December. It was digitally run on our online corporate profiles and website. GO and Vodafone decided to help out in this initiative by sharing content with thousands of fans online. A total of 42 parcels were hand-delivered to the ‘Ejjew Ghandi’ (Children Homes) by Benjamin Grech and presented to Sister Silvia Cassar. MSGNR. Victor Zammit Mckeon thanked Engel & Völkers Sara Grech for their efforts and appealed to the general public for more stationery and clothes, which are always in demand at the ‘Ejjew Ghandi’ (Children Homes).
