Privacy From The Government
Is America Doing Its Job A Little Too Well?
The Government Can Easily Access Your Social Networking, Such as facebook and Twitter.
What you say on-line can be used for profi-ling.
You can never hide a regretted post from the government.
The government sees everything. Nothing is private or secret.
The government even monitors what you shop for. In other words, heaven forbid you buy duck tape a week after you buy a gun– It just might make you a
MURDERER.
Many people use the internet to buy personal things. People may use the internet to buy things such as books on a mental or physical illness or sexual orientation. When the government sees that, they can put two and two together to get a
general idea of personal struggles and conditions– instantly profiling and stereotyping you.
Recently, the defense department office has developed the “Total information awareness” program. Basically, the government would be
cataloguing our lives. All of our media files would be sent to a building and be stored FOREVER.
The government would be recording: phonecalls, emails, wed searches, financial records, purchases, prescriptions, school records,
medical records, and travel history. Basically, allowing the government to be 10x nosier.
Citizens’ privacy is protected by law. The problem is that the law excludes the federal and state
government from SNOOPING.
America was founded to protect the freedoms a monarchy wouldn’t allow. The government should
be representing the people and trying to please them while doing what’s best for the citizens.
Snooping is wrong, unnecessary.
And, should not be tolerated.
DON’T LET THE GOVERNMENT OWN YOU.
As a citizen, and one who would suffer from the new law, it is your duty to ask yourself how you would
react if you were interrogated due to profiling. Keep in mind that the profiling would be based on your
personal media files the government went through.
Think of it this way, if you wouldn’t want your friends and family to know, why should the government need to know?
If you aren’t hurting anyone, why be inspected like a criminal?
Want to help the cause? There are several ways to fight back.
•Petition•Letters to the editor •Letters to the sate•Buying firewall programs to protect your info
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Draw as much attention as possible to the cause and educate others.
