Printgroove POD Queue effectively manages and edits print queues by linking multiple output devices throughout the produc-tion floor – including control of processes, tasks, capacities and devices. As a result, the entire available hardware is most efficiently utilised and workflows are perfectly streamlined.

The comprehensive POD Queue functionality includes pro-ductive features such as automatic job-based distribution, which allocates each print job to the best-matched output device. Last-minute job ticket editing enables just-in-time modifications to job parameters – in the print room, right be- fore the job is sent to production. Automatic processing of similar print jobs in batches enhances productivity and saves costs, as do features such as cluster printing and colour split.

Adopting Printgroove POD Queue enables enterprises to upgrade their print workflows with unified print room management. Product-based job processing simplifies, automates and speeds up print production, while print queue management enhances the overall efficiency of the print room, making production more economic and thus truly competitive.

KEY FEATURES Unified print room management

– One GUI for all output devices: Even with different

controllers (from Konica Minolta, EFI, CREO, etc.) installed, the application provides one harmonised user interface for all output devices.

Product-based job processing – 2-way communication: This functionality enables real-

time status control and output status monitoring. The automatic job-based distribution facilitates the alloca-tion of each print job to the best-matched output device.

– Paper lookup table: All paper types and their assigned attributes are combined in an easy-to-use list. Assigning a paper name to a print job ensures automatic use of the corresponding job ticket settings.

– Hot folder: This feature enables client users to create hot folders on their Windows desktop, which are directly connected to Printgroove POD Queue. In the application, every hot folder is linked to specific settings for finishing options and output devices. With drag and drop, PDF files can be added to the hot folder, from where the job is automatically submitted to the Printgroove POD Queue inbox panel as a new job.

– Automated batch processing: Jobs with similar settings are automatically collected in groups and can then be printed as batches.

Print queue management

– Print automation: The processing of jobs can be automated according to desired finishing options and other print parameters. Printer selection is then auto-matic based on availability, capacity and capabilities.

– Load balancing: Print jobs can be split among several printers for faster completion of the print run.

– Colour split: With this functionality, print jobs can be split into colour and B/W pages and both portions sent to the most efficient output devices for fast and economic job completion.
