DESCRIPTION

PDFs are never as good as the real thing, however, we had to throw a little love out to the very excellent Kevin Thomas and his team at Aureus Idea Firm for bringing our words alive in such a slick way. Long live good design.

A celebration of street food traditions, this unique event brings together Philadelphia's most exciting food trucks in a lively festival setting. Along with globally inspired cuisine, EATS will feature a friendly culinary competition where some of the city and region’s most spirited chefs will prepare locally-sourced dishes reflecting authentic street food cuisine from around the world. For added thrill, a distinct panel of judges and VIP tasters will “throw down” their votes for the best bites of the night. Spectators will also be treated to live entertainment, including Japanese drummers and a dragon dance.

Proceeds from this wonderful evening will benefit Two Kitchens/Two Countries: the Wat Bodd Voraditth Orphanage in Thailand’s Angthong Province and Children’s Village, a nationally accredited early learning program, located near Philadelphia’s Chinatown.

Why Sponsor?Along with making a positive impact on children both in Philadelphia and in Thailand, participating in this event will put your business front and center among a diverse audience of caring and influential individuals.

Wat Bodd Voraditth Orphanage’s need for a new kitchen… Building a modern kitchen where food can be prepared and stored safely is of utmost importance, as is the creation of a garden to grow fresh produce. While many other improvements are needed, healthy meals in a sanitary cafeteria are the best way to start. The new kitchen and improved quality of ingredients will reduce the prospects for health problems and emotional or behavioral issues, and greatly enhance the children’s potential for learning and performing. One of EATS’ bigger goals is to provide culinary training for possible employment within the food services industry.

YOUR SPONSORSHIPWILL HELP MAKEA DIFFERENCE…

Children’s Village’s need for a kitchen renovation… To support the needs of the whole child, Children’s Village offers each child the best possible nutrition and daily opportunities for physical activity. Through adoption of best-practice nutritional approaches and standards, Children’s Village is committed to helping children develop and sustain habits that promote healthy bodies and healthy minds.

Proceeds from EATS 2013 will help: • meet higher nutritional standards and accommodate Children’s Village’s recent 25% increase in enrollment.

• reconfigure the kitchen layout, providing more space for prep work and improving efficiency.

• upgrade equipment, including a chemical-free dishwasher and four-burner range.

• add storage space for kitchen and serving equipment

A copy of Children’s Village’s official registration and financial information may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll-free, within PA, 1-800-732-0999.  Registration does not imply endorsement.
