Principles of Life for Bright Future

Change Yourself, If you want to change the world, Change yourself. Change first comes from within. First you change and then others do. If you treat people fairly, you too will be treated fairly. Sow whatever you will like to reap.

Seniors. Don’t associate with your seniors to make yourself powerful. Build your own

power, based on your knowledge, character and contribution.

Winner. Accept pain and disappointment as part of life. Winner is he who gets up

when no one else can.

Thinking. Always think positive, no matter how big and serious the issue is.

Successful people are optimists to the extent of being called crazy. If you stay positive and keep on finding the solution, your right brain will become active and that is where all the creative solution comes from.{Good thoughts are (parts) of good worship.(Prophet Muhammad, PBUH)

Question. Ask again and again about those things you don’t know. *By this he will benefit who will answers and he will benefit who will listens. *Questioning is the medicine of the ignorance. *The questioning is half knowledge. {Prophet Muhammad PBUH}

Problem Solver. Be a problem solver for your team. Always be willing to help your people

personally as well as professionally.

Limitations. Don’t try to be “know-it-all” person. Know your limitations. If you don’t know

something that is asked of you, admit and apologize for your ignorance. Then entrust or hand over the responsibility to someone who knows.

Time.

Page 2: Principles of Life for Bright Futurec

Each and every one of us has 24 hours (i.e. 1440 minutes or 86400 seconds) each and every day, no more, no less. That is a lot of time to do anything, if you realize so. The life is too precious to be wasted. How could you then afford to waste 1/3rd of your life in sleep (if your average is for about 8 hours a day)?{Sleep is the brother of death, and the inhabitants of Paradise do not die.(Prophet Muhammad PBUH)}

Knowledge. Education is expansive but knowledge is free. You can learn by meditation on

nature and its gifts. Keep on learning through meditating even if you cannot afford formal classroom education. {One hour’s of medication on the work of the Creator is better than seventy years of prayers. Prophet Muhammad PBUH}

Learning. Everyone does not want to learn and change. It is the fact of life and we must live with it. What you understand, if you do, in not necessarily what your people will understand. Don’t waste your time in teaching those, who will not learn.

Powerful.Feeling of powerlessness creates stress. How powerful one feels if a higher authority was his friend or a relative? Just imagine how much powerful that person be who is a friend of God? No friendship is one sided. Remember Him so He could remember you. {Then do they remember Me, I will remember you. Be grateful to Me and reject not faith

Change Yourself, If you want to change the world, Change yourself. Change first comes from within. First you change and then others do. If you treat people fairly, you too will be treated fairly. Sow whatever you will like to reap.

Listening. Listening to your people is your obligation. This is the minimum you could do for them. 80% organizational problems could be solved if we just started practicing effective listening.

Talking, Never talk about people on their back and also refuse to listen to such a talk.

Hidden Powers. Nev er underestimate your hidden powers . You are much more powerful

than you think you are. You have tremendous ability to stretch yourself.

Accept every work that challenges you.{…No burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear.

Job. People can fire you from job, but can’t control your subsistence. Accept their decision graciously. Don’t argue with them. People are just the implementers of the God’s decision. May be God wants you somewhere else, where you are more required. Look for that new place, without wasting any time in arguments.

Memory. Reduce every internal or external contract to writing. Never trust yours or others memory.

Responsibility.

You really start to grow when your job is just a little too big for you to handle easily without effort. If your present duties are no longer a real challenge to you, then it is time for you to look around especially above you, for new fields of conquest. I know the people who are at very lower positions and they look for bigger responsibilities, ultimately they go to those upper positions and I know the people who have been given high positions by virtue of inherited situations or through contacts/links (Safarish) but they do not take the responsibilities, they one day loose the positions which were given to them.

Taskmaster:

I have heard many management experts saying that you can not train an executive or an officer or Manager in the same way you teach a person to be a typist or a file clerk or an office assistant. Technicians work with things and executives/officers/managers work with people. Executive development is primarily self-development even though your company might go all out to provide ideal conditions to help you grow in your mastery of people. Your company’s efforts would go unproductive if you are not interested in self development.  My dear young fellow, this is important for you to remember that managerial skills and know how cannot only be learnt in a college or at a management institute. But what you learn on the job and through well planned homework becomes even more important because it teaches you self-development through practical application of what you have learnt at school. We all learn best by doing, whether it is drafting a letter, making a decision or even preparing a lecture. Or even it is swimming, riding a bicycle, playing a piano or managing people.

Let your-self grow on the Job .

When a young person starts to work, at that stage he thinks that his duties are more administrative thank managerial, more technician like than engineer like, but as he goes up through successively higher levels of management he finds that the nature of his duties undergoes a change. Some time he was just filing the papers as file clerk and when he becomes supervisor, he advises and trains the file clerk to do the job properly. You can see the difference in the duties of shift engineer and General Manager Work. You can discover that positions at the top require using leadership and management of people to get the job done, planning for future, innovating the things and control etc.

You can do.

You can do everything but not all at once. You can do everything if it’s important enough for you to do. You can do everything but you may not be the best at everything. You can do everything but there will be limitations, You can do everything but you’ll need help.
