BALANCE Feeling of equality
Law of rest – suggest stability, security, satisfaction and peace
Factors affecting balance: Position, size, proportion, value, quality, shapes and direction of elements of arts.
Kinds: Formal, Informal

Formal Balancewhere the art elements in a composition are balanced in a mirror-like fashion (it does not have to be exact but close).
