Change of contact details Attached to this edition of Keeping In Touch is a change of contact details form. We understand that families move, email addresses change, mobile providers change and also phone numbers. As the legal guardian of your students whilst at school it is imperative that we can contact you if required. If any of your contact information has changed simply fill in your students name on this form and then ONLY fill in what has changed and return it to the front office. Higher School Certificate examinations The Higher School certificate examinations have now started and we wish all of our students our best wishes. Remembering that this examination is important however it is not a defining moment in their lives. There are many ways for students to achieve their education and vocation goals. If your student needs our advice and assistance either this year or next they still have access to the same support that has always been available at Concord High School. Each student has a log in to NESA where they can access their personal HSC examination timetable. It is imperative that they attend all timetabled examinations. Students doing a NON ATAR pathway may still be required to sit some examinations. If you have any confusion please contact Mr Anderson at school before the scheduled examination in question. Having the HSC examination timetable printed for family access would be useful to ensure that the family can assist get students ready for examinations.

PDHPE News Combined High School Athletics On the 4th, 5th and 6th of September a handful of Concord High School students attend the Combined High Schools (CHS) Athletics Carnival at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre. To qualify for this competition students needed to finish in first or second place in their school carnival, their zone carnival and their regional athletics carnival during the year, which is extremely difficult to do. The competition comprised of all students in New South Wales who attend government schools, therefore the level of competition was extremely high. Well done to all who attended! Health & Wellbeing

Dear Parents,

I wish to advise the free dental and eye examinations held at Concord High School has come to an end today with great success.

Unfortunately not all students met the eligibility criteria for the free dental and those students who did have been examined and a dental report has been sent home with your child stating the treatment they received by the dentist.

Due to a large volume of participants in such a short time, the optometrist managed to examine most students, however not all students were able to be examined and suggest a visit to your regular or local optometrist be arranged.

Please be advised there were a number of students who refused to participate and after much encouragement did not show up to their appointment.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for the time taken completing the forms which enabled us to provide this service ensuring your child's health and well being is sustained whilst at Concord High School.

Kind Regards,

Lorraine
