Principal’s Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back! It has been wonderful for the staff to have students return to the classrooms
this week. Although some activities like assemblies and excursions will be scheduled to start at
a later date. The Department has requested that parents continue to use the pickup and drop
off system. This has been working well. We cannot thank our parents enough for the support
you have given to your children and the school during this time. We know that this must have
been an enormous task within your households to keep everything going with the added
pressure of home learning. THANK YOU!
It was a great gift for the students to have the second basketball hoop and board installed last
week. Thank you to the P&C for your donation and to Melissa T in helping organise the
installation.

COMMUNITY NEWS
We are re-opening!
We are extremely excited to announce that
we will be re-opening the Macadamia
Castle Animal Park on Monday 1st June.
From this date we will be operating from 9am-4pm seven days a week with a full Daily
Activity Schedule.
Our dedicated staff have been working throughout lockdown to care for our animals,
and now, we’re incredibly excited to be able to open our Castle doors and welcome
visitors back in a careful and responsible way. Our animals have been missing people
in the Park.
Visiting an outdoor Animal Park with your family is a great way to reconnect with
nature. With appropriate space for social distancing an outdoor Animal Park is one of
the safest places to visit as Covid-19 restrictions are easing.
We have implemented a range of additional measures and hygiene practices to
ensure we can keep our animals, staff and visitors safe. Signage is in place across the
grounds advising social distancing and advising maximum numbers in line with current
guidelines.
For our Park Pass holders we have extended the expiry date of your pass by 70 days.
For those Park Pass holders on subscription your payments have been on
suspend and we will recommence them in the second week of June.
We encourage all Pass holders to renew via a monthly or quarterly subscription when
renewal time comes around. It is only $7 per month for adults.
We hope to see you soon!
