Planners

School TimesCampus opens for breakfast at 7:30 am

Classes begin at 7:55 am and end at 2:20 pm

Every student will receive a planner on the first day.

Planners will be used every day in every class.

Check your child’s planner daily.

Shoes Gym shoes must be secured with laces or Velcro and must completely cover toes and heel. Gym shoes are not to exceed 2 inches past the ankle or reach the bottom of the calf muscle. High-top basketball shoes are acceptable.

BeltsA belt is required if the garment has belt loops. Belts are to be solid black, navy blue, khaki, tan, or brown.

Hair ColorMust be within the natural hair color spectrum.

PE Uniform All middle school students are required to dress out for PE.

PE uniform consists of shorts, T-shirt, tennis shoes.

Tops: Navy, Black, Yellow, Gold, White Tops must be solid-colored T-shirt with sleeves.

Bottoms: Navy, Black, or Khaki/Tan Bottoms must be solid-colored athletic shorts secured

around the waist and are to be mid-thigh or longer.

ExchangeDonate clothing items to exchange for the same number of items, as supplies permit.

Donated items must meet the Horizon Academy dress code.

Donated items should be clean and in good condition.

Items are being collected today and items can be donated or redeemed at any time.

School Advisory CouncilAll parents/guardians are encouraged to participate

The SAC is required by the legislature at all schools and oversees some funds

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Media Center

Support)Campus-wide program to teach students to follow the Hawk Expectations.

Program to recognize students for making good choices!

Students receive Hawk Eyes for being “spied” doing the right thing.

Students can redeem the Hawk Eyes for various activities and items.

After-School Tutoring

21st Century Grant Program

An after-school academic and enrichment program for Horizon Academy students.

Mondays through Thursdays from 2:20 pm to 5:00 pm.

Transportation provided.

Students must sign up to participate and may be placed on a waiting list once the program is full.
