    WEEK 4

  • Dear Parents and Guardians..

    PBS at Sunshine Harvester

Sunshine Harvester Primary School is a POSITIVE

    BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT school.

    We TEACH students the

    behaviours that match our

This term we are focussing on teaching our behaviour ex-pectations in the classroom.

Next week our expectation will be

“ I follow directions the first time I am asked.”

In the classroom following directions looks like this:

1] Look at the person giving directions.

    2] Say or think “Okay.”

    3] Follow the directions.

4] Check back to see if you have followed them.

Following directions makes it much easier for children to learn, to keep safe, and to learn to follow laws.

At home, you can reinforce this behaviour by noticing and acknowledging when your child listens to directions and does what you ask the first time – whether it is washing their hands before dinner, tidying something, getting their book out to read, etc.

    The PBS Place!

Once a week at lunch time students are able to bring their HIGH FIVE cards to the library, if they have 10, 15, 20 etc cards already collected. Once there they can choose a small prize. Also, they might choose another reward such as a small amount of free time, being a teacher helper, or doing some craft or cooking.

Congratulations to Iman and Pinky from Grade 6 who have used their High Five cards to book some cooking time with some friends – a very creative choice!

    Respect

    Responsibility

    Learning.

    and acknowledge

    their efforts!
